Please read all the instructions carefully and answer all the proposed questions.
All of them are related among them.
In this package there are two different word problems. You will use three different
pages in your notebook. One page for all your operations and processes, and the
other two for writing down your final answers (as shown in this page of this
package). Once you have finished, take a picture and send these pages to your
teacher via email or TEAMS. Check your sent email to make sure you attached all
your documents and they are visible for your teacher.
If you have extra time AFTER SOLVING THE PROPOSED PROBLEMS…
There is a set of questions for you to solve and submit if you have extra time after
completing both word problems. There are at the end of this document.
Problem #1
Casey has a small business making dessert baskets. She estimates that
her fixed weekly costs for rent and electricity are $200. The ingredients
for one dessert basket cost $2.50. If Casey made 40 baskets this past
week, what were her total weekly costs? If she makes 70 baskets? If
she makes 100 baskets?
Problem #2
Sam builds and sells homemade wooden toys for $12 each. The
festival he is attending charges $50 to set up his booth. How much
money will he earn if he sells 7 wooden toys? 25 wooden toys? 35
wooden toys?
Where do you register your final answers?

table and graph from the word-problem.
