Mary studied Chemistry and it took her six years to complete her degree. She studied hard and in
the end, she got it. So she is a chemist now, but she is unemployed. She specialised in food
production and preservation and she would like to work for a food company.
The food industry is quite important and currently on the rise.The modern lifestyle is changing the
way people eat. People usually work far from their homes and they eat in restaurants or in special
places for fast food or precooked meals.
There is a need for quality control processes that food products must undergo and food specialists
are in charge of these processes to achieve safe and nourishing products. Chemists specialised in
food production take care of their proper condition of the foods in cans or delivered in plastic bags,
their appropriate preservation and their safe distribution and delivery.
