    The City of Angels was a film about an angel who wants to be a human and experience all the

    things that human do. Seth is an angel from heaven who accompanies the dead people on Earth.
    He met Dr. Maggie a Surgeon on a hospital he always went in. Seth didn’t experienced to be
    touched and taste but he has a power that he can allow people to see him. Days have passed he
    fell in love to Dr. Maggie and he got a chance to know her by following her secretly and talking
    to her, Dr. Maggie felt something mysterious about Seth until he admitted that he’s an angel.
    Seth met Nathaniel and he’s a fallen angel because he wants to be a human than to be an angel
    and he fell in love to a human too. Things didn’t go smoothly for Seth, Dr. Maggie has a
    relationship with her co-doctor. Seth made a decision and that is to be a human because of what
    Nathaniel told him even though he is unsure of his future. Dr. Maggie and her co-doctor broke
    up and she distanced herself to Seth after she knew the truth about him. Seth became a human
    and he find Dr. Maggie to lake Tahoe to confess his love and to show up as a human. Seth and
    Maggie made love and that’s what Seth wants to feel and touch her, he wasn’t able to do that
    when he was an angel. They didn’t expect some thing will happen, while going home Dr.
    Maggie had an accident and that’s the reason of her death, Seth was so devastated because of her
    sudden death but he chose to continue his life. Seth talked to Cassiel his angel friend and
    questioned him why they took her but he told him that he’s happy that he’s able to touch and feel
    her once.

    First, Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomology of Perception is having a body is you have worth,
    if you don’t have a body you’re worthless and you’re not able to experience what humans do.
    Having a body also shows your presence here in the world. In the movie Seth wants to be a
    human so that he can experience what a real/true human do, it’s when he fell in the building and
    had blood in his body and that’s when he became a human, and when he can already do what
    humans can do, also, he’s able to be touched and feel. Second, Grabriel Marcel’s Philosophy is
    about having a body is important so that you can prove that you exist and without it you don’t
    exist and your body is you’re identity. In the movie when Seth was an angel, people don’t know
    him nor see him only dead people who comes with him only see him. When Seth fell from the
    building and became a human, he had a body people are able to see him and recognize him and
    also he experience what people do.

    I learned that having a body is important because without it we can’t do anything like touch, feel,
    seen by anybody. In short, without body we’re worthless and we’re not free to do anything we
    want and we cannot experience what other humans do. In conclusion, we need to give
    importance to our body and take care of it. All of what we are experiencing right now is because
    we have a body to do some things we want to do.
