For God so loved the world, To some it's just an emblem a formality. One sacred holy night shepherds in their fields
He gave His only son It's a symbol that's been used so frequently. Startled by angel cry, brightest light
He was born in Bethlehem, Many blaspheme and despise. A song like never heard and glory all around
The works of grace begun Though it's ancient, it abides. Heavenly symphony, hear the sound

The cross was calling Him, An icon that reminds us that we're free. Upon that holy night
