Submission Format:
Submission is in the form of a 10-minute video clip individual presentation using relevant software. Your
video clip must include clear voice, face and ppt slides.

The presentation ppt slides, speaker notes and a completed individual portfolio folder, including specific
documentation such as the job specification, CV interview selection criteria, interview notes and
preparation as well as an evaluation of the process must be submitted as one copy to the Turnitin and Btec
system, while the video clip must be submitted into the Flipgrid video system.

You are required to make effective use of PowerPoint headings, bullet points and subsections as
appropriate. The recommended length of your speaker notes for the evaluation summary of employee
relations and employment legislation that is related to the HR practices is 500 – 1,000 words, although you
will not be penalised for exceeding the total word limit.

While working as an intern in the Human Resources (HR) department of Prudential Group, you have been

asked to work in a small team (3–4 members) present and prepared an document portfolio for the
recruitment and selection process. The document portfolio should include:

1. The design of a job specification for one of a number of given positions in the organisation.
2. A CV for each student in the group, tailored to apply for one of the positions advertised by
another team.
3. Documentation of preparatory notes for interviews, interview notes based on selection criteria.
4. A job offer to the selected candidate.
5. An evaluation of the process and the rationale for conducting appropriate HR practices.

In addition to this your group are to produce an evaluation summary of employee relations and employment
legislation that relate to these HR practices. This is to be presented to new applicants at the induction
training. Covering the following:
