I am born and brought up in Jaipur. For the past year and a half, I have been working towards my
goal of being an able marketer; Not only improving my knowledge and understanding of the trade
but also honing skills like teamwork, communication, analytical and critical thinking etc. Prior to my
MBA, I completed my graduation in commerce alongside which I was pursuing CA. As a part of CA, I
have done 3 years of Articleship in statutory audit and internal audit across areas like returns,
compliance, hotel audits, verifications, internal control evaluations etc. It was a client facing role and
I was often appreciated for the way I managed and communicated with the client.
To further hone upon my management and communication skills I freelanced with a friend in a event
management company for 5 weddings including destination wedding where I was responsible in
understanding the client needs and giving them a plan as per their budget, managing the
arrangements before and during the events with different responsibilities and this is when I
discovered my interest of being a marketer and I joined IMT.
For the past 1.5 years I have been working hard to reach my goal of becoming a seasoned marketer
and have often been appreciated for my well thought out ideas, decision making skills and for being
a team player by my teachers and colleagues. I was also awarded 2 nd prize in HR conclave held at
college for my project in design thinking.
During summers, I got an opportunity to work for an e-commerce analytics company, mFilterIt as a
data analyst intern. My work included Detailed analysis of search data of E-commerce and Google
search platforms of major FMCG companies and give insights to help understand the client’s
competitive landscape. The objective of the project was to conduct Detailed analysis of search data
of E-commerce and Google Search platforms and gain insights to understand the client’s competitive
landscape and help them in their marketing, branding, and product positioning in E-retail sector.
Through this detailed analysis of the strategies of competition and client brands, suggestions on
corrective measures for better performance and visibility and unique solutions were recommended
to the clients to leverage the competitive edge leading to 15-20% increase in sales and an 8-10%
reduction in marketing budgets and increase in KPI’s.
I was also Awarded Lifetime Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma International honorary society for
being in top 20% of the batch of 500+ students at IMT Ghaziabad.
I have a keen interest in how brands are making strategies to continuously gain competitive edge
through improving the customer experiences and journey as in today’s world this is the only way to
achieve the competitive edge (As per JD)
2. What are your long-term and short-term career plans? What position do you expect to have in
five/ten/fifteen years?*
I am really excited for being a management trainee at MG motors. In the next 5 years I want to
develop a deep expertise about the automotive sector and customer experiences. I believe that is a
goal I can realize with working at MG. I would also like to take on more managerial responsibilities
and lead key projects successfully. I have had the opportunity to work with a great manager and I am
excited to become one.
3. Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths:
Organized: I tend to write my to-do list on my phone, prioritize in my head what needs to be done
first and also put reminders for events or lectures I have to attend.
Team-work: I’ve always preferred to work in groups and find that my collaborative nature is one of
my strongest attributes. On projects that I directed, I work well to inspire diverse team members and
work side by side with them to achieve the project goals.
Problem solver: I believe that my greatest strength is the ability to solve problems quickly and
efficiently. I can see any given situation from multiple perspectives, which makes me uniquely
qualified to complete my work even under challenging conditions. That problem solving allows me to
be a better communicator. I am just as comfortable speaking to senior executives as I am junior
team members. I think my ability to see all sides of an issue will make me a great asset to the team.
Weaknesses:
Self-criticism: I tend to be overly critical of myself. Whenever I complete a project, I can’t help but
feel that I could have done more even if my work received a positive response. This often leads me
to overwork myself and leaves me feeling burned out. Over the past few years, I’ve tried to take
time to look at my achievements objectively and celebrate those wins. This has not only improved
my work and my confidence, but it has helped me to appreciate my team and other support systems
that are always behind me in everything I do.
Introvert: I am incredibly introverted, which makes me wary of sharing my ideas in a group setting or
speaking up during team meetings. I feel that I had good intentions, I just wasn't always comfortable
speaking up.
Saying no or pleasing everyone
Short term: To be financially independent, settle down in a new work environment as quickly as I
can and gain new experience.
Long term: I want personal development and learning from the job I’m in. Assume higher
responsibility as I move higher up in my job and make a tangible contribution.
For starters, I have all the skills and experience listed in the job description, and I'm confident that I
can make an immediate impact on your company. As a recent college graduate, I know that what I'm
lacking is career experience. However, the qualifications that I bring cannot be measured by
traditional experience. (Connect skills with JD and examples if possible)
My passion for the industry that drives me to succeed. If chosen for this role, I will continue to
deliver high-quality work for the continued success of your organization.
I have just the right skill-set to excel as an executive assistant. While I haven’t previously
worked as a personal assistant, I pretty much fit the bill for the role.
I’m extremely organized, having managed several project teams in my university. I led the
organization of Event #1 and Event #2. This involved continuous communication with 12+
companies, 30 speakers, and 15+ sponsors.
I’m very meticulous and organized, and I’m more than capable of helping the CEO get the most our
of their free time.

10. Achievement:
11. Unique:
I think one of the main qualities that makes me unique and different from other applicants, is my
ability to come up is my ability to come up with effective ideas and make a bond with everyone I
work with. Working and gelling with the team and making them feel appreciated helps me with
getting the best out of everyone and ultimately works in the favour of entire team. I enjoy helping
and teaching others to be the best versions of themselves. I have always been very proactive in
giving my ideas as well as motivating others to share their during my college group projects making
our team one of the best performing one in most of the subjects.
OR
“I have the unique skill to give very good advice, as I handle situations calmly and with a level head.
My friends and family often turn to me for guidance, and I recently helped a colleague get out of an
awkward situation with an unhappy customer at work. I have the ability to look at things from a
different perspective, applying logic and reason to solve problems, and I think I could be a real asset
to your business”
While doing my Articleship, I was in the internal audit department which are very logical and
process-based audits and require lot of management, communication, team management with the
client being a client facing role. This is when I realised my interest in management. Further, while
freelancing in the events in Mystique events this interest further grew and I was confident this is
where I want to make my career. Therefore, instead of wasting my years in CA this is where my
actual interest was, and I joined IMT and pursued MBA in marketing. Also having knowledge of both
finance and marketing gives me a competitive edge as whatever may be the function, I think being
comfortable with numbers and understanding them is very important.
Challenges:
"I know your organization emphasizes setting high goals for each team, and I look forward to being
part of a team that aims high
I am looking forward to put my management and organization skills to the test. This company grows
very quickly, and I’ve been never working in this field before. I am sure that I will be confronted with
many unknown situations, and will have to often decide on the spot, and solve a lot of problems. But
that’s exactly the sort of work that attracts me the most, because I hate routine and love to be
intellectually challenged.
After long years of studies, I am finally looking for practical work in the field. I know that school
cannot prepare us for the real challenges of the job. Many things will surprise me, and I will often
depend on help of my mentors, the more experienced colleagues. But this is exactly what I am
looking for in a position. To bridge the gap between theory and reality and become a marketer.
