I wish I had found your site earlier! Thank you for the immense service you are rendering for the Church through this
marvelous and benevolent work. I have found the psalms quite helpful for our Worship here and in training our seminarians to
sing the psalms well. Do keep up the good work.

Many thanks for the Chabanel psalms----they’ve worked tremendously well for my school Masses, and the students
enjoy them too (always a plus). Please keep up the good work for the future of sacred Catholic music---you are laying down some
very strong cornerstones, and Catholic musicians from now on will owe you a great deal.

Dear Brethren, My name is Mark Walker and I am the Director of Music at Saint Martin of Tours in Louisville,
Kentucky.  Ours is a traditional parish and before discovering your web-site resource I was having a terrible time finding
"traditional-sounding" Responsorial Psalms. Please continue offering this. It is truly a God-send!

To All those who made these chant and polyphony websites available, Semper Deo gratias et Mariae!
Your websites (especially St. Rene Goupil's) have made it possible for our choir of Sisters to sing the difficult propers for
the High Mass every Sunday--an accomplishment that would have been impossible without the MP3's you provide.
Thank you for cooperating with God's special grace to help bring back the true beauty of Church music! Singing well,
may many pray twice for the restoration of Divine Tradition! Nos cum Prole Pia, benedicat Virgo Maria!

I rely on you so much for every Sunday Mass and Holy Day of Obligation when we have a Mass in English!
Let me thank you very much for the Chabanel Psalm Project.  As a non-musician, I find myself in the position of
chanting the psalm at Sunday Mass.  I know that the tune should be different every week (though here in Poland, most parishes
seem to have only two all-purpose settings).  But since I have only basic knowledge of music from high school choir and beginner
piano lessons, I really do need to hear the psalm being sung as I look at the music when I'm learning the psalm.  Then when I've
'got it,' the notation makes me feel secure that at the ambo I will remember the tune.
So all of your materials are an enormous help to me.  Before I discovered Chabanel, we had the same 'tune' being 'sung'
week after week.  Now we have different settings and it's so much better. Here in Poland, they don't do 'misallettes,' but rather
slides on a screen.  So the graphics you have for some psalms are a huge help to the congregation, especially as now we have no
mucisian at all.  I think it helps at least some of the congregation to feel more confident singing the refrain a cappella if they can
see the notes. Funny how the Internet affects our lives.  I've never met you, but every day I'm remembering you in my prayers
and wondering how you are.  That would not have happened 15 years ago, and yet it seems so natural now.
I'm quite spoiled by the MP3s, because I don't read music properly.  Without them I'll have to go back to just making up
the setting for the psalm out of my head (Yikes - our poor congregation).
Thank you again for this wonderful service of putting all the Sunday psalms on the Internet.  It is so user-friendly for
someone like me, who can easily pick up and carry any tune, but who can't sight-read music and just know how the tune goes.
The fact that often there are variations with audio is icing on the cake: I can choose a setting the music of which 'feels' to me
close to the words, to the feeling I have when I read the psalm (not sure if that makes sense - I teach poetry, so the words speak to
me perhaps more loudly than the music - if that makes sense!).
Sincerely, C. F. (Pastoral Center for English Speakers, St Charles Borromeo Parish)

the soul.  Thank you thank you thank you.  May God continue to bless your work. In a special way, thank you for the beautiful
new psalms you are posting. It is glorious to hear how beautiful these can sound.  I just want to hear them over and over and
over. May you be abundantly blessed for all you do to share the music.

Hi! I am Peavey Ingles from the Philippines. I was asked to sing Psalm 98: 1, 2-3, 3-4 for my friend's wedding and i had
no idea how to sing it. And i don't want to just read it because it would be so much better if I sing it. So I googled it, then I found
your video on youtube for the particular Psalm. I was so happy I bumped on it on the internet coz i never thought i would find
one. So what I am trying to say is thank you so much for your video and hopefully I will be able to sing the Psalm tomorrow as well
as it should be sung. :-) More power to your site and God Bless!!! :-)

I just wanted to thank you for creating your website. I have been struggling to find out the name of the Credo version
that my grandmother used to sing to me.  I have only been able to find poor quality audio versions online, and didn't know which
version it was for the purpose of buying a recording until finding your website. Thanks, once again.
Kind regards, A. K.

I cannot send you enough compliments for this so very helpful website. Although I learned Gregorian notation during
my conservatory study, it still isn’t my second nature. Teaching, as conductor/organist, Gregorian chant to my members of a
catholic church-choir it helps me a lot consulting the facsimile pages of your beautiful website. Off course, I searched and found
the missing piece in one of the other collections.
Thank you once again, Kindest regards, K. E.

Several years ago we were asked to provide music for celebrations of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass. The books you
have made available online have been enormously helpful to us.
A Mass will be said for the intentions of all the folks at Corpus Christi Watershed, and as a personal expression of
gratitude, I've sent you a recording of a duet I wrote for my two daughters back when they were teenagers and living at home. It's
called, "Mary, Mother of God," and is a meditation on the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you again
for your fine work.

. . . I was so inspired by the beautiful voice of this lady and that particular version of this Psalm. I played it over and
over then contacted our Church organist to tell him of my exciting discovery. He mailed me back and he too was very impressed.
Many Blessings to you and for the wonderful work that you do.

Thank you so much for the Chabanel Psalms. Also, thanks for making them all accessible to everyone without us
begging for copyrights and paying out money to use them. That is the way to go really.
The Chabanel Psalms are very well done. I have downloaded almost all of them now - and used up an entire ink
cartridge. They are very easy for cantors and choirs to follow. Good layout!

I am a diocesan priest in the Diocese of San Pablo, Doctor of Theology (Dogma), and former Director of the Diocesan
Commission on Sacred Music. I am very pleased to find out about your much-longed-for apostolate of music. Thank you very
much for starting this out. I am an organist, and have published some tones for the psalms in the mass pamphlets distributed by
the Society of St. Paul here in the Philippines. I pray for your continued success. God bless you all always!!!!!

The Chabanel Psalm Project is water in the desert! The congregation quickly picks up a refrain that matches the words
in front of them, and the verses, of course, are light years better than anything to come from the for-profit publishers.
I am a published composer in my own right and recognize good work when I see it. Besides the obvious devotion of the
work and the craftsmanship, the thing I appreciate is that it is being done by people who not only value the tradition of the
Church, but are working church musicians themselves. The materials are easy to follow, written for the organ and voice and
make musical as well as liturgical sense.
We've been faithfully using Chabanel Psalmody for all our sung Masses, and everyone especially likes your settings.
(With three organists to please, if all of them like it the psalms must be good!).

Dearly beloved at Chabanel Psalms,
Greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I write to appreciate your good works in launching this website. I found
it on Google, visited and I must say in all manner of honesty, it is the best discovery I have made in recent years. I pray God the
grace to carry you on and on. Thank you.

My daughter made her first communion yesterday with her homeshooling group. I sang your arrangement of Psalm 23
in Mode IV. People loved it! The singer can't do it without the composer. There is lots of bad stuff our there that is difficult to
make good. Your material is easy to make it good. Thanks for your efforts.

Again, I can't say enough about how wonderful your ministry is. To see (Scores), listen (MP3's) and then practice (and
practice more in my case) has given me great confidence prior to proclaiming the responsorial psalm. It has become a prayerful
experience throughout the week.

We are a group of men that sing for various parishes in our deanery. I just wanted to drop you a note saying that we are
so thankful for your efforts in the Chabanel Psalms project. We have used the psalms in the Masses that we sing and they have
been met with great enthusiasm. One parish music director even said he wanted to start using them regularly. We are very happy
with how easy they are to learn and how they sound well with and without accompaniment. Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to thank you for providing this wonderful service to the Church. I am a seminarian studying at
Conception Seminary College. I have begun to use this at my Apostolic assignment and it has had great results. It makes my life
as a musician easier and it provides the young adults with some traditional chant style music that is easy to sing and I dare say
"fun."

I have just found out about Chabanel Psalm Project, and think this is an amazing project on many levels. Most
importantly is the music. These are high quality pieces of music that are still very accessible for choir and congregation. Good
psalms are hard to find! Also, for you to offer this free is truly Christian in every sense of the word.

I brought the Chabanel Psalms to the attention of our Cathedral music director three weeks ago, and since he
“discovered” them, we have used them exclusively in our weekend liturgies. He even did an organ improvisation on the melody
for last week. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful writings with us. We feel like we have discovered a goldmine. And
what a great way to unobtrusively introduce a little more chant-based music into our liturgies! Blessings!

I have recently reviewed the Chabanel Psalm project and would like to say that this work seems very usable for our
cantors at the Cathedral of the Risen Christ in Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as very user friendly for the congregation. The pages are
well prepared and easy to use. We are going to incorporate this into our library of responsorial psalms for use during our liturgies.

In addition to the Psaltery which includes responsorial music and verses (in chant) for congregation and choir, I deeply
appreciate the numerous settings of the ordinary and acclamations you’ve composed for the Holy Mass. I’ve used your music often
and find it refreshing to the ear, and because of this, people in the pew have no problem picking up the melody. It is music that
people want to sing—regardless of age. (It is not unusual to hear children humming the responsorial Psalm refrain as they leave
the church after Mass!)
