B.E degree with 26 Years’ Experience as an Instrument Engineer in the area of Construction, Commissioning, Start up and
Maintenance of Oil & Gas plants (On Shore and Offshore projects) Instrument & Control System.
Worked with Multinational Oil/Gas Operators and EPCC Companies, such as PDO-Oman, ADMA OPCO, Agip Eni groups, Shell,

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical input to project engineering deliverables includes process control narrative, cause and effect, alarm trip
setting list, instrument index, alarm management system, instrument protective function narrative, loop check and site
acceptance test, motors/compressors start up sequence test and blowdown sequence logic test procedures.
• Reviewed all subsystem/system of utilities, liquid handling, Gas treatment and compression units commissioning/operation
Test Procedure in all aspects to ensure that optimal Instrument and control system performance and align with Shell DEP
process safeguarding philosophy.
• Verify all instruments functional loops related details includes transmitters range, Lo/Hi limit value, alarm value, alarm priority,
hysteresis/dead band ,PV trend, primary control graphic display, process historian view(event list),controller action, PV
tracking, FCS rack/slot number, MOS and AMS, Functional Logic diagram configuration in CMS and IPS.
• Leads the team to carry out ABB driven VFD communication redundancy test, functional logic test/dynamic tests,
mechanical run test/solo run test of all HV motors/ high energy pumps and compressors and ensures necessary check
sheets/method of statement are duly checked with witness of operation team and all subsystem/systems are ready for start-
up as per project milestone.
• Co-ordinates with MDT, CMS, IPS and Emerson vendors to carryout PV bad fault alarm CMS relay logic modification, IPS
shutdown voting logic configuration for temperature, axial, radial vibration trip signals in all compressors and high energy
pumps. Verified all fault, HI, HI HI alarms Modbus signal and clamp value configuration as 0 with CMS and FCS.
Installation of 4 new Gas Injection and 3 Barren towers facilities in Zakum Oil field (ADMA OPCO).
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that Contractor and Vendors are executing the commissioning of Instrument & Control Safety System work properly
in accordance with company safe, reliable design and engineering practice.
• Witness all critical loop test and dynamic functional test including RTU (Weatherford) / SCADA, EHSSS (Yokogawa ESD)
and Fire and Gas (Emerson) Logic Test as per Cause and Effect Chart,
• Verify the wellhead control panel logic system, all wells SCSSV, SSV, Wing valve, Choke Valves and Riser Line SDVs,
Multiphase Flow meter, Chemical Injection package functional loop test.
• Carry out Operational Test Procedure (OTP) of each system and Integrated Site Acceptance Test (ISAT) as per approved
Project documentation and ensure that all systems are ready for start-up.
• Carry out Interface test between RTU from each wellhead Tower and SCADA in ZCSC to ensure all signals are properly
transmitted via Radio Link. Verified all system/subsystem final handover dossiers and signed off.
• Prepare the daily commissioning reports on work progress and suggest for enhancement of the existing control systems and
safeguarding to ensure that plant control system integrity, reliability and optimization and Ensure temporary supplies and
commissioning spares are adequate for the subsystem functional testing.
• Perform the inter-discipline checks including 24 VDC UPS, HVAC and Nitrogen HP and LP Leak Test.
• Functional testing of Fire and Gas System Instruments (H2S, HC, Flame detector, Heat and Smoke detector, Manual Alarm
Call point, Early Warning Smoke Detector- VESDA) and Extinguishing system such as Inergen, Sprinkler and Deluge system
• Carry out Black-out test as per plant shutdown logic test and Black start test procedure
Responsibilities:
• Review the engineering design to identify any changes necessary to minimize the impact on the commissioning and start-up
activities in D Island and A Island offshore facilities
• Participated with multi discipline team to carry out the final walk down and ensure all process related instruments works for
the entire offshore facilities are executed in accordance with project specifications. If any discrepancy with field Instruments
installation, raise the punch list with acceptance of Handover team.
• Carried out the commissioning loop test for complex loops, critical closed loops and confirm the process interlock, critical
interlock are activated as per control narrative and commissioning test procedure..
• Co-ordinate with Integrated Commissioning and Acceptance Team (ICAT),Integrated Control and safety System (ICSS) Team
and Vendors in order to commissioning and preparation of Start-up activities for the Utilities and Process Support area
Instruments and Control systems.
• Witness the ESD/F&G dynamic testing as per cause and effect and raised the technical queries to rectify the logic issues in
Safeguarding / Emergency Shut Down system.
• Coordinate with discipline Engineers to check 24 VDC UPS, Generators and Telecom System including CCTV, PAGA, PABX
Telephone System, VHF/FM Marine Radios and Local Area Network system alarms.
• Verify that the Operational Assurance and Integrity requirements are met for the associated Instruments and control systems,
including ICSS Interfaces to 3rd party Packages such as Flash Gas Compressor Controls, Gas Turbine Control Panel’s
(TCP), Wellhead Control Panel’s (WHCP) and HVAC system..
Responsibilities:
• Review all the engineering documents such as P&ID, Instruments technical database, Instruments data sheets,
Troubleshooting loop diagram, System Architecture Drawing, DCS,ESD, Fire and Gas system Function Design
Specifications, DCS Interlock and ESD logic diagrams, ESD and F&G Cause and Effect matrixes.
• Ensure all applicable API standard and recommended practice for Instrument & Control system, International Electric
Commission standard, Quality Assurance Procedure and policies within process design engineering are fully incorporated on
all assigned projects.
• Preparation of Instruments and Control system Pre-commissioning and Commissioning operation manual, black start up
procedure, start up & shutdown manual for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Instrument Contractors team and ensuring that project activities are properly planned and field instruments and
control system works, carried out by contractor, on schedule and within approved budget.
• Carry out mechanical completion activities include installations of field instruments and equipments as per key instrument
engineering documents Instrument cable tray routing, instrument cable schedule, instrumentation location plan, hook up
drawing and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram.
• Periodic follow-up all punch list items till completion with engineering and execution teams with prioritization and timeframe
for the remedial actions.
• Systematic check of all loops of calibration range and Alarm/Trip setting as per specifications of Data sheets, Instrument Test
Plan (ITP), Instrument Loop diagrams, Instrument Technical database and Logic test of DCS (Honeywell Experion C300)
Process Control narrative.
• Preparation of progress and status report includes activities during last period, list of modifications, punch list.
Responsibilities:
• Commissioning and Start up the Gas Facilities of Offshore Wellhead Platforms facilities (Utilities, Chemical units, Free water
Knockout drums, Glycol etc) Instrument and control system within the time frame and sequence of the overall approved
planning schedule.
• Participates with multi discipline Completion team final walk down in order to close out punch list items prior to turnover from
Mechanical Completion to Commissioning.
• Prepare the Site Changes Request to modify the instrument range and logic of DCS (Distributed Control System), ESD
(Emergency Shutdown System), Fire &Gas System and vendor package Inst Air Compressors, wellhead control panel
Hydraulic Power unit, Flare system PLC’s etc.
• Perform the commissioning test procedures of all Subsystems and vendor work packages with Cause and Effect matrix, prior
to start up activities and made the systems are ready for start-up.
• Involved to preparation of Handover Dossiers for Ready for Operation and cooperate with Operation team to carry out
performance tests to prove the plant equipment’s meet desired design capacities and products specification.
Responsibilities:
• Review Project Documentations such as Work Breakdown Structure, Project Numbering Specification, Document
Deliverables Handover Procedures, Turnover Work Process, Vendor and Engineering Document Handover Requirements.
• Identify all System / MOC’s applicable Engineering and Vendor as-built required documents, Vendor Key and Action
documents.
• Review all System/MOC components list (Instrument, Electrical, Mechanical etc), which are derived from Complete IT and
Stars database and verify the components with Scope drawings, As built Engineering drawings and vendor redline drawings.
• Coordinate with Completion Assistants and Turnover Engineering personnel to ensure all applicable Engineering drawings
(Schematic diagram, Single line diagram and Interconnection diagram etc), vendor documents such as Installation, Operation
and maintenance manuals, Datasheets, Special tools list, Spare parts list and Inter changeability records are properly
uploaded with respective systems / MOC in Proarc.
Assignment: Offshore Khuff Gas Development project (TA platform - Umm Shaif Super Complex)
Responsibilities:
• Commissioning of TA and NGTP gas separation platforms instrumentation including DCS, Fire and Gas, Emergency
Shutdown system.
• Carry out the Site Acceptance Test activities for DCS, ESD and F&G system with vendors.
• Preparation of pre-commissioning dossiers, punch list, vendor documents and review the instrument datasheet,
troubleshooting loop diagrams, vendor packages drawing to compliance with project specification.
• Perform the functional Loop checking of all field Instruments and Fire & Gas detectors with Bailey Infi 90 DCS and GE Fanuc
PLC (90 Series) through Genius Remote I/O Block.
• Identifies the critical Instruments and control system problems and raises site queries, technical modification requests with
field engineering and recommend solution to field operation problems
• Carry out Operational Test procedures (OTP) to confirm the Shutdown Logic function as per cause and effect matrix for Fire
& Gas System and Emergency Shutdown System (ICS Triplex) of all facilities.
