In 2012, Malala spoke to the public saying how girls like her have the
right to education but this heroic act had a consequence, it made her a
target. One day on her way home from school, a masked man boarded
her school bus and asked "Who is Malala" soon after that, she was shot
three times but she survived.

October 2014, Malala was named a
Nobel peace prize winner making her the
Youngest winner at the age of 17.
She stated "This award is not just for
me, It is for those forgotten children
who want education, it is for the
children who want peace, it is for
voiceless children who want change".

It did not come easy...
Malala is a hero but a hero often go through
struggles and encounter many road blocks on the
way up. Malala faced criticism, challenges,
obstacles throughout her journey. A person once
said that her encounter with the gun man was fake
and her being shot was just a made up story when
there is acceptable proof that those events did in
fact happen. Despite all of the things that are
thrown at her, she remains strong in the mind and
the body knowing what she is doing is right.

Since Malala was Targeted for fighting for girls education, the world
knows her for promoting girls schooling around the globe.
-Malala has used her Nobel Peace Prize money to help
Build schools in her home town in the Swat Valley
-Created the Malala Fund
-Released her autobiography called "I am Malala".
