of the animals below:
- domesticated mice, axolotl, gold fish, persian cat, ferret, maltese dog, shiba inu, guinea pig,
red fox
Answers:
1. For example domesticated silver foxes are the result of an experiment which was
designed to demonstrate the power of selective breeding to transform species, as
described by Charles Darwin in On the Origin of Species. And I think that selective
breeding started for more unique types of foxes to be created.
2. Foxes used to show aggressive behavior with humans and now they do not, and also
foxes used to show avoidance in humans and now they are not doing that at all.
Because of that today we have them also as pets. I think that is the main difference.
3. If you want a fox as a pet it's important to keep in mind, however, that owning a fox is
unlike owning dogs and cats. You should take under consideration that foxes are some
kind of wild animals and you need to be careful with them they are not dogs or cats also
the best fox to have as pet is fox with big ears because they are small, have a long
lifespan, and are also cute and all these things make this fox a good choice as a pet.
4. Obstacles for keeping a red fox as a pet: They have not been domesticated so they are
difficult to tame, and also they make damage and chaos at home.
Obstacle for keeping a guinea pig as a pet: They hate temperature change, for example
anything warmer than 80 degrees ор anything colder than five degrees it’s not
comfortable for them and because of that you need to change the temperature all the
time.
Obstacle for keeping an axolotl as a pet: They need a lot of care and because of that
caring an axolotl is complex and requires a great deal of maintenance. Axolotls require
an aquatic environment with very specific temperature, water quality and husbandry
requirements. Axolotls can live for up to 10 years of age if cared for correctly.
