The tourism generated funds should be exclusively used for the
conservation and development of the state
It is of great need to raise awareness among local especially
village people for the betterment and development of tourism of
the state
Many sacred places in the state attract huge crowds of tourists
but due to the death of co curricular activities at these places we
are not able to make them stay for longer. The longer the tourist
stay more beneficial it would be for the state economy so co
curricular activities should be provided and developments near
these sacred places
Public relation centers should be set up
social media is the cheapest means through tourism industry of
jammu and Kashmir can be advertised and make more and more
tourists in the state
Conclusion
Jammu and Kashmir is one among the precious states of india as
far as the tourism industry is concerned. Tourism is the life line
of jammu and Kashmir, as the major chunk of population is
dependant on tourism directly or indirectly. The study has
revealed various types of tourism that are liked and are famous
among tourists and can help in the development of tourism in
the state
Even though tourism creates jobs and contributes significantly to
economic growth. it Is not automatically a solution for poverty
reduction. Therefore, it is Important for government of the state,
local investors and other stakeholders to actively participate in
tourism and its related activities. The local workforce can also
help by engaging and encouraging the use of local companies
for the provision of transport, service and food In order to assist
in alleviating local poverty. The different terrains of the State
coupled with law- and -order problems have contributed to poor
connectivity in the region. The rail. road mix of transport in the
state Is very low. There Is dire need to build alternative roads In
some places to ensure better connectivity. There Is also a need to
upgrade many of the existing roads from two lanes to four lanes.
The State, sparsely populated and scattered as It is, needs more
airports and better air connectivity as well."
