Biblical inspiration
Inspiration is that extraordinary or supernatural divine influence provided to those
who wrote the Holy Scriptures, rendering their writings infallible.
All Scripture is inspired by God [literally: God-breathed] and profitable for
teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; —2 Tim. 3:16
NASB
This is true of all the “sacred writings,” not in the sense of their being works of
genius or of supernatural insight, but as “theopneustic,” i.e., “breathed into by God” in
such a sense that the writers were supernaturally guided to express exactly what God
intended them to express as a revelation of his mind and will.
inerrancy
It is the doctrinal position that in its original form, the Bible is totally without error,
and free from all contradiction; referring to the complete accuracy of Scripture,
including the historical and scientific parts. Inerrancy is distinguished from biblical
infallibility (or limited inerrancy), which holds that the Bible is inerrant on issues of
faith and practice but not history or science.
The bible as the word of god
We must recognize that the biblical books have internal qualities that demonstrate
that they are from God. Just as natural revelation (the created world) has
characteristics that show God is the author of nature (Ps. 19; Rom. 1:20), so we
should expect special revelation (Scripture) to have such characteristics that show
God is its author.
In short, Christians know the Scriptures are God’s Word because in them they hear
the voice of their Lord. As Jesus declared, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know
them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).
Praising Well
Dear Father,
Thank you for blessing me so graciously. As I seek to live according to your will, I
experience the blessings of your presence and grace in my life. Please bless me
with wisdom to better know your will and the courage to live it. Fulfill your
promise to your servant, so that you may be feared. Direct me in the path of your
commands, for there I find delight. I know that I am not alone and You were
always be here by my side.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Witnessing Well
You heard your classmates condemn the Bible after reading an article online that the Bible is not true.
How will you explain the truth to your classmate?
I will tell Him the Bible contains only the TRUTH. God claims to be the source of truth.
The Bible makes some very distinctive truth claims. It claims, for instance, that God
exists. It also claims that He has chosen to communicate with us through His creation,
our moral conscience, and via the Bible. Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh and that
the only way for human beings to be saved is through Him (John 14:6). Moreover, the
death and resurrection of Jesus are also key to Christian theology.
Your younger brother asks you ,"Who made the Bible ?"
I will tell Him the Bible is made by God and man. It is called God’s Word even though
God did not physically write it. Instead, God worked through everyday people, inspired
by Him, to record what Christians accept as the Bible. It was then passed down to
generations to generations called divine tradition.

What scriptural passage did you choose ? Why did you choose the passage ?
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to
pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with
groanings too deep for words.
I choose this passage because I think I needed this passage today,
especially in this situation wherein we are suffering in the pandemic.
What message does the biblical passage personally convey to you?
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right
alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t
matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless
sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves and
keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in
our lives of love for God is worked into something good.

How does it reveal who God is
The passage tells us that God is always there to listen to our prayers. Paul tells
the followers of Jesus in Rome that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, even to the
point of articulating to God what we can't put into words! Not only that, but when
we point our hearts and requests and thanksgivings to God, the Holy Spirit cleans
up our prayers and conforms them to the will of God!
