CORE PURPOSE
“To create and nurture after-market ecosystem to keep the automobiles fit and healthy
and customers happy and smiling”
VISION
“To become Leading Automotive Independent After Market player in India by establishing
Network of 2000 workshops and Revenue of Rs.500 crores by FY-22"
Dear Partners,
The second quarter of F'20 was filled with mixed actions. Decision on J&K, Chandrayan -2, economy not doing well, sluggish
demand of Automotive products, slashing of Corporate tax and rainfall in abundance were the main topics which kept
everyone guessing about the outcomes.
Let's hope that business in Kashmir valley will return to normalcy soon and our Franchise partners in Anantnag and nearby
locations in the new state of Kashmir will start serving the customers in coming days.
In August-2019, the dip in Auto service demand was a big surprise for OEMs and other players. Despite of the overall
negative sentiments prevailing among business circles, in Q2 all MFCS Franchises together could hold on to their Q1
numbers. Overall revenue for Car Service at MFCS workshops in Q2 was 7% higher than that of Q1 and the revenue for
two-wheeler business has also grown considerably. This revalidates our belief that multi-brand automotive service
business is satisfying to the very fundamental needs of the vehicle owners and this business is not disturbed by the cyclic
winds.
During April- September 2019, we had also witnessed market share gain by new players like Kia, MG and other players like
Renault which were good indicators for the Multi-brand Service Industry.
I would also like to congratulate all at MFCS family for the various achievements during Q2, which include:
a) MFCS network reaching new locations.
b) Rejoining of few Franchise Partners who had left the network earlier.
c) Formal approval of M-ASC concept by Central offices of major Insurance PSU's. The approval process involved thorough
deliberations by their internal functions like Claims, Accounts, Taxation, Legal, Compliance and by their renowned
consulting firms of Big 4 fame.
d) CX training to front staff of Franchise Workshops
e) Launch of 'Sahi ka Sath' campaign at FOFO workshops in North and East zones
f) Reduction in NPSF complaints from 0.7 % in Q1 to 0.6 % in Q2 and then continous improvement in CSI score by additional
3% (improved from 86% to 89%).
In the second month of Q2, market stared showing some positive side since Onam, followed by Ganpati festival, Navratri-
Durga Pooja- Dussehra, which is expected to continue through Diwali, Chhat Pooja, Gurupurab and Christmas during Q3.
While the stage is set for a great performance, we should not be complacent and should focus on customer satisfaction.
Many new actions are planned for Q3, which include launch of new range within MFC Spares.
In the next edition of Leap, we would like to publish commendable smile stories shared by our Franchises, describing the
real events of how they earned “Customer Smiles” by walking an extra mile. The details of this column would be shared
soon, so please start compiling stories for your workshop.

Customer Delight Experience is the key ingredient in service industry, thus we intend to give exceptional experience to our customers
when they visit MFCS Franchise. We started with our webcast series on Customer Experience Drive to develop soft skills of Franchise
staff. This was initiated in November 2018, wherein we received a positive feedback from Franchise towards the program.
In Q2 F'20 we conducted two sessions of CXD at Jamshedpur & Mumbai. The program is based on Customer Handling & Interaction
Skills for front staff like Works Manager, Service Advisor & Customer Relationship Manager, who manages customers on regular
basis. We received a good response from participating Franchises. The learners participated actively in the Role-Play Activities and
Group Discussions. We look forward that CXD will contribute in enriching our Franchise Value Proposition.
