science journals - Plastic bottles
 Move into project groups to begin design - Plastic bags
stage - Single use products
Body - Fishing nets
 Groups will continue discussions and ideas - Plastic straws etc. to stick around classroom
generated from previous lesson, beginning - Fact Sheets with statistics and information on marine
selection of potential products to further pollution
investigate  A3 paper and pencils, rulers for sketching
 Groups will begin designing section of project Science Journals 3I’s for ‘museum walk’
by sketching rough drawings of product they
have thought of thus far on their ipads using
Procreate app

the product is (materials is made from) and
what it will do in order to minimise water
pollution

Conclusion
 Students will break off into individual work
and complete self-assessment section in
science journal

LEARNER DIVERSITY

Lesson has incorporated both visual and written

learning to cater for students who thrive in learning
environments with visual aids and those who prefer
written information. The lesson is collaborative within
