Power: The need to make others behave in a way that they would not have behaved otherwise.

Briefly explaining a two types of pay plan of an organization. These are:

 Piece rate pay plans.


 Profit sharing plans.

Piece rate pay plans: Workers are paid a fixed sum for each unit of production completed. Piece rate
pay plan can be used by a business that wants to pay its employees based on the number of units of
production that they complete. Using this type of pay plan converts compensation into a cost that
directly varies with sales, assuming that all produced goods are immediately sold.

Profit sharing plans: Organization wide programs that distribute compensation based on some
established formula designed around a company’s profitability. Profit sharing is an incentivized
compensation program that awards employees a percentage of the company's profits. The amount
awarded is based on the company's earnings over a set period of time, usually once a year. Unlike
employee bonuses, profit sharing is only applied when the company sees a profit.

Role: A set of expected behavior patterns attributed to someone occupying a given position in a social
unit.
What I understand about role perception and role expectation I am writing it below as per I studied and
know from my faculty. Here it is:

Role Perception: An individual’s view of how he or she is supposed to act in a given situation. Also it can
be define as it is a process by which individuals pick up, co-ordinate and translate the sensory stimulus.
Into significant information relating to their work environment. Perception lies at the. Base of every
human activity.
Role Expectations: How others believe a person should act in a given situation. Also can it can be define
as may be viewed as actions or qualities expected of the occupant of a position. It is viewed as actions
and codified. Expectations must be inferred from overt conduct, including self-reports etc.
