The Royal Shipyards of Barcelona are architecturally speaking a gothic masterpiece forming part of the
maritime façade of the city which was first constructed at the end of the 13th century, under the reign of
Pedro III of Aragon. Since the beginning, it was constructed for the fleet of the Kingdom of Aragon. It is a
National Heritage Monument.

Saturday, 30 October: CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Golf Sant Joan


The Course has been designed by Severiano Ballesteros, and is considered one of the most
complete golf courses in Spain for its layout and size. It is a 72-par, 18-hole course, with a
total length of 6.046 metres. The course is demanding, abundant with trees throughout, and
allows players of all levels to enjoy its forms, although the orografia forces places to bring out
their best shots. Use of a buggy is recommended. All amateur level players with a valid golf

La Boquería Market & Ham Tasting


The Boquería market is by own merit one of the most famous in the world, with a recent ascencion in the
ranks in the last few years which culminated in the market being awarded the prize of Best Market in the
World durign the World Markets Conference in Washington DC in 2005. With almost 300 stands involved
in almost 30 different activities, it is a reference for fresh goods in the city, coining the phrase "what you
can't find in the Boquería, doesn't exist".

First Activity: 45-minute tour during which four market sellers will attend to the group and offer a
tasting session of their products.
Second Activity: Meet in the market cookery class with a serrano ham tasting session with a professional
cutter. Approx. duration 35-40 minutes.

Nespresso Coffee Tasting


Iker Erauzkin, renowned chef, will present three of the most interesting varieties of
NESPRESSO, describing the qualities and strengths that differentiate each one. The
participants will have the opportunity to join in a coffee-tasting session of the three
varieties previously explained by the chef, followed by a "blind test" of the coffee-
tasting skills acquired.

To finish, Iker Erauzkin will offer participants a "tapa" (hors d'oeuvre) that uses one of

Visiting the Codorníu wine cellars is to submerge oneself in the history of cava, the
history of a culture, of values and of people. In all of these elements, we find
architecture, history, tradition and innovation and a job well done, aspects which
make Codorníu a place filled with magical sensations, dreams and tales of endurance

Secrets of the MNAC


MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya)

The MNAC embraces all the arts (sculpture, painting, objets d'art, drawing,
engraving, posters, photography and coinage) and has the task of explaining the
general history of Catalan art from the Romanesque period to the mid-twentieth
century. With this visit, we hope you will discover the principal museum spaces that
are available to residents and visitors and enjoy the beauty of this regional
