Description of Link Africa’s Services
1. A custom installation is required when more than 30m of cable is required to install the
Termination Box. The distance is measured from the TB to the property boundary.
2. Link Africa will create a quote based on the custom installation as per your specified
requirements. The quote is based on an ad-hoc cost per extra metre of cable needed
as well as any logistical work that may be required (lifting paving, drilling walls, etc).
3. You will then need to sign off the quote which triggers the installation by Link Africa.
4. Quote is then sent by Link Africa to its Layer 2 partner who then forwards it to the ISP
who in turn use it to send you an invoice.
5. Link Africa then complete installation and provide the Layer 2 partner with a TOC
(Take over certificate) and Installation Invoice.
6. Link Africa does not do any internal reticulation, this is the responsibility of the ISP.
Your ISP will need to provide a solution to distribute signal, this can be achieved
through wireless repeaters or LAN cabling.
