SCRIPT TALENT SHOW – ENGLISH FEST INMERSION ACTIVITIES.

THEATRICAL SCRIPT.

THE SIX SWANS
SCENE ONE:
 STORYTELLER: Yeraldin Alturo.
Once upon a time there was a king, who was lost in a forest and was looking for an exit but
it was impossible; then he saw an old woman approaching him. She was a witch.

 THE KING: Yeraldin Alturo.


Good woman said the king, could you show me a way to get out of the forest?

 WITCH: (EVIL): Yeraldin Alturo.


Oh yes, sir king
Answered the old woman- if I can but with one condition if you don't accept it, you will
never leave this forest and starve.

 KING: Yeraldin Alturo.


And what condition is that?

 WITCH: (EVIL): Yeraldin Alturo.


I have a daughter!
Beautiful as you will not find another like it in the whole world, and she will be very
worthy to be his wife.
If you promise to make my daughter queen, I will show you the way out of the forest.

 STORYTELLER: Yeraldin Alturo.


The king, although anguished in his heart, accepted the deal, and the old witch led him to
his house where his daughter was sitting by the fireplace; the evil witch's daughter greeted
the king as if she had been waiting.
The witch showed the way to the king, they arrived at the palace where they were married.
The king already had seven children, six boys and one girl.
The king, afraid of the evil witch to harm his children, sent them to a distant and lonely
castle.

 KING: Yeraldin Alturo.


Wife, I'm going to walk in the woods.

 STORYTELLER: Yeraldin Alturo.


The king frequently leaves the castle, which the queen was disturbing.

 QUEEN: Yeraldin Alturo.


I'm going to follow him. I'm not liking him going out into the woods alone.

 STORYTELLER: Yeraldin Alturo.


The queen found out the secret of the king which made some vests of red cloth, and putting
into practice the witchcraft arts learned from her mother, He spell the clothes.
One day when the king went hunting; the witch went to where the children were when they
saw someone approaching, they thought it was their father and they ran to receive him full
of joy. And they observed what was it tha witch and puts them on the vests and they
convert them in swans.

 KING: Yeraldin Alturo.


I will go where my children.

 STORYTELLER: Yeraldin Alturo.


The next day the king.
He went to visit the children but only found the princess.
SCENE TWO:
 KING: Karen Olivera.
Where are your brothers?

 PRINCESS: Karen Olivera.


Oh my father! , they left and left me alone; I saw from my balcony: how my brothers
became swans and ran through the forest.

 STORYTELLER: Karen Olivera.


The king was sad, without thinking that the evil queen was the protagonist of this evil.
The princess begged the father to let her stay in the lonely castle.
The princess with fear, but at the same time she thought about rescuing her brothers.
The next day the princess found out that her father had died.

 STORYTELLER: Karen Olivera.


The princess in her pain pulled strength and said.

 PRINCESS: Karen Olivera.


I'm going to go look for my brothers, until it gets dark.

 STORYTELLER: Karen Olivera.


The princess seeing in the distance a cabin where there were two beds, but she did not dare
to stay in one of them but decided to spend the night on the hard floor.
The next day he heard a noise, and at the same time he saw six swans enter through a small
door. And he told them:

 PRINCESS: Karen Olivera.


  Hello brothers, how are you?
 SIBLINGS: Karen Olivera.
Hello sister, fine but we have to tell you something. You cannot stay here, there are very
bad people, when they arrived they will kill you!.

 PRINCESS: Karen Olivera.


Couldn't you protect me?

 SIBLINGS: Karen Olivera.


No sister!
Well, they are only allowing us to rest a little each night that we can live in our human
figure, but in the day we transform ourselves into swans.

 STORYTELLER: Karen Olivera.


Asked the crying girl
 PRINCESS: Karen Olivera.
Is there no way to disenchant them?

 SIBLINGS: Karen Olivera.


No sister!
Conditions are too terrible. You should stay for two years without talking or laughing, and
at this time you would have to make us two silk shirts.

After a quarter of an hour, they transformed again and jumped out of the small door.
But the girl had made a firm decision to save her brothers, even if it cost her life. He left
the cabin and went to the forest, where he spent the night, hidden among the branches of a
tree.
The next morning.
The princess said:
SCENE THREE:
 PRINCESS: Laura Castaño.
I'm going to start collecting silk to start knitting the vests.

He couldn't speak to anyone, and there was little reason to laugh. He had been in that
situation for a long time.
The King of that country, was hunting through the forest, passed near the tree that served
as a dwelling for the girl. Hunters saw her and called her:

 HUNTERS: Laura Castaño.


Who you are?
Come down, the men insisted.
. We will not harm you.

 STORYTELLER: Laura Castaño.


Plus the princess just shook her head. The hunters continued to harass her with questions,
but to no avail.
The stubborn hunters climbed to the top of the tree and lowered the princess. They took her
to the King, he asked her:

 THE PRINCE: Laura Castaño.


Who you are? What are you doing on the tree?

 STORYTELLER: Laura Castaño.


But the girl did not answer. The King insisted, rephrasing the same questions in all the
languages he knew. But in vain; she always remained silent.
However, seeing her so beautiful, the King felt moved, and a great love for the girl was
born in his soul. They went to the castle where they were married.
 THE PRINCE: Laura Castaño.
Wife of mine I present to you my mother.

 STORYTELLER: Laura Castaño.


Which the princess was scared because the king's mother was an evil witch, some time
later as queen she gave birth to her first baby. One night the evil witch said to the princess:

 WITCH: (EVIL): Laura Castaño.


I will take your son away from here, and I will tell my son that you killed your own son.

 STORYTELLER: Laura Castaño.


Since the queen could not defend herself because of the promise she made to her brothers.
The king, believing the evil witch, her mother took her to a bonfire where she sentenced
her to death, but that day was two years old, the princess in the distance saw six swans
approaching, these were her brothers.

 SIBLINGS: Laura Castaño.


Sister give us the vests.

 STORYTELLER: Laura Castaño.


The sister threw the silk vests on them and they became human, and one of them brought
the baby, they went to the king and told the whole truth, that his evil mother was a witch.
The king proceeded to do justice.
Later, the prince and princess lived happily ever after.
END.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
The firm decision to carry out a task, and the perseverance to carry it out despite
adversities, lead to success.
