Purpose of College Education

A college education is a life preparation path that would aid make sure one has a

successful career. It offers a person a chance to attain an initially set goal for their life (Ma,

Pender, & Welch, 2016). Students choose specific programs in particular colleges where they

specialize and attain their degrees. Pursuing a college education does not guarantee a successful

life but offers an upper hand to earn a better income over a person without a college education.

In the coming days, college education would be used as a critical determinant in the employment

of highly qualified personnel. With the improvements in the economy, organizations would find

it hard to attract top talent. This would make people with a college education needed in high

demand. These employees can get to choose one organization instead of another. The inclusion

of global understanding in college education would be beneficial to students. They get motivated

to take steps for peace and justice, oppression and discrimination, action against terrorism, and

misuse of natural resources.

On the other hand, cultural diversity and expression inclusion would allow students to

have an understanding of the complexity and context of various cultural diversity. Students need

to have the awareness that particular global activities are dependent either directly or indirectly

upon global cultural practices. These can help students gain an innovative and new method of

exploring alternatives by linking the present with the future and past. General education would

help me be informed and be an active citizen in the

society. The studies would enable me better my oral and written communication,

enhance my ethical reasoning as well as professional presence and self-awareness
