    Notes:
    FACILITIES TO BE PROVIDED BY THE MAIN CONTRACTOR:
    1. Except for the Welding of HDPE pipes & fittings, all the other preparations at the job site shall be the
    responsibility of the main contractor.
    2. Welding Tent incl. proper ventilation and lighting (if required).
    3. Electricity to operate the welding equipment.
    4. Free access to the working area & keeping the area free from other activities.
    5. All required gate passes, trainings and safety induction courses, safety equipment other than standard PPE.
    6. Lockable storage area and insurance against any damage to the rented equipment and tools during
    the execution of the service.
    7. All pipe lifting and handling activities are the responsibility of the main contractor.
    8. Helpers & lifting equipment to operate the welding machine as required.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
    1. QEMS standard work timing is 8 hrs/day. Saturday to Thursday. Overtime is chargeable and will be calculated
    on the basis of QAR 50/hr.
    2.The number of welds achievable on a daily basis is strongly dependent on site conditions (eg. readiness of
    work area, weathering, availability of support facilities, etc.). The number of welds mentioned in the item
    description is meant for indicative purposes only and shall not be understood as a binding quantity
    QEMS reserves the right to charge additional days if applicable.
    3. Idle charges of welding technician and machine are applicable at the daily rental rate, should no welding
    activities be carried out.
    4. If other activities are required in addition to the welding services (internal bead removal, pressure test…
    or others). QEMS can provide an offer upon request.
    5. Machine rental period starts on the day the machine is mobilized to the site and stops the day the machine
    is demobilized from the site.
    6. Demobilization notice has to be provided in writting 48h in advance.

    COMPLIANCES TO QCS 2014:


    1. QEMS welders are trained and certified according to the requirements of the DVS German Standard and the
    German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW).
    2. QEMS Welders and supervisors are GW330 / GW331 certified in compliance to QCS 2014.
    3. Welding reports are issued on a daily basis and are to be cosigned by QEMS welder and client
    representative / supervisor at site.
