INTRODUCTION
ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
Stephen P. Robins defines ‘Organisational Behaviour as a systematic study of the
action and attitude that people exhibit within organisation’. It is related to individuals
or group of individuals who work together in an organisation.
In this fast moving and innovative world, the more favourable circumstances are
coming into existence by organisational behaviour. The organisational behaviour is
taking up circumstances with challenges. Challenges comes with the source of
opportunities as well.
Some of the opportunities and challenges are listed below:
Promoting innovation and change:
To resist in the competition, organisations improve their services, quality and
launch innovative products. Business will fail or may force to shut down if
unable to keep flexibility as per demand.
For example: MI is presently beating the tough competition in the market by
showing wide range of innovative products at a minimised cost.
With the help of organisation behaviour employees are able to show their
knowledge, skills and new ideas for innovation and change.
Empowering people:
Empowerment of employees is another challenging task yet an opportunity on
the same time for every organisation. Empowering your employees means
giving authority to them to undertake their roles as they determine their best.
Organisational behaviour gives the importance to the fact that employees
should be allowed and encouraged to participate in various work-related
decisions and it will lead to improve employee-employer relations and also the
commitment towards the work.
