Stephanie Pavol, SAF board president, introduces seniors to SAF; Hugh Martin,
Associate Director, E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, welcomes seniors.

10:15 a.m. – Keynote Presentation: Branding Yourself: What the @#$%


Does That Mean?!
Ryan Lytle, SAF board member, Education Web Producer at U.S. News & World
Report, and former MTV TJ contestant, gives insight on branding yourself. (Find the

11 a.m. – Resume Presentation: Customizing Your Resume and Cover


Letter
Zach Pavol, Graduate Assistant, Ohio University Career Services, outlines what to
do, and not to do, to craft a winning resume and cover letter. Zach will also show
how to tailor your resume to a specific job posting. (Find the presentation at

11:45 a.m. – “So You Got a Diploma – Now What?”


Recent Scripps grads share insider tips for finding your first job and being a
valuable – and happy – first-year employee in a Q&A format (i.e. time management,
working with difficult co-workers/bosses, understanding/adjusting to office culture,
work/life balance, etc.)
