    STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF TABLE TENNIS NSW


    All players, parents, coaches, officials and spectators
    Please see the attached medical update – Novel Corona virus 2019 and sporting
    activity

    from the CMO AIS & CMO NSWIS

    It is recommended if you have travelled overseas, especially to China, since


    December 2019 please see your doctor to ensure you are not affected and are not a
    carrier of the corona virus.

    If you returned to Australia, from China, on or after "Australia Day" on January 26,
    then you should NOT attend the 2020 NSW Closed Championships as you will be
    within the 14 day incubation period for the virus.

    For the 2020 NSW Closed Championships on Sunday 9th February

    1) The tables will be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes prior to play
    2) Players MUST NOT wipe their hands on the table under any circumstances.
    3) Players / Coaches and Umpires should avoid shaking / slapping hands at the
    end of a match. A simple acknowledgement of your opponent / umpire via a
    raised hand in their direction or a nod (bow) in their direction will suffice for
    this tournament.
    4) Hand sanitizer will also be available throughout the hall – please encourage all
    players parents spectators to use the hand sanitizer
