Answer The Questions Below
1. Was the goal of the speaker to communicate achieved? Why or why not?
No, because she was not able to achieved her goals or explain her point that
much. Effective communication requires forethought, especially when the
target is a public audience that you don’t regularly speak to. Without correct
context and organization of her content, the listener would really miss or worse
misinterpret her message.
2. Looking at the communication process, what might have been the cause of the
speaker’s failure to communicate well?
In looking at the speech of Kim Chui, the cause of her failure to communicate
well is due to her emotion. When she delivered her message about the "Law
of Classroom" it caused emotional disturbance to us listeners. Besides, she
has difficulty expressing her ideas that's why she could not explain her point
that much where the listeners could understand.
3. What do you think could the speaker have done to eliminate the problem/s that
occurred in the communication process?
To eliminate problems while talking to her audience or listener she must
possess sufficient knowledge of language to express using appropriate words
especially in giving examples. Also, she should state her message in a
manner that would avoid emotional conflict.
4. What can the audience/listener do so that the problem that occurred between him/her
and the speaker can be resolved?
