FATWA DEEDARIYA ACTUAL PASSAGE AND DEOBANDI MISQUOTATIONS
Introduction:
Found one objection in facebook by an illiterate deobandi Saifullah Hanfi. If you read
the presented fatwa and the objection, you can find the answer for the objection
downside the same page. This shows the illiteracy and ignorance of a deobandi, who
is just roaming on social media and blaming the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah. In reality
he is exposing his own illiteracy and ignorance. I wonder the blind followers of this
person are sharing this baseless objection worldwide without knowing that it is
invalid.

Objection:
According to Mufti Azam Pakistan and founder of Hasbul Ahnaf Moulavi Deedar Ali
Shah fatwa, the ruling of sunni and shia masjid are same 1. According to right sources
they are only immoral (fasiq).They are not kafirs and also not out of ahlus sunnah
wajamath. Those who are blaming the typographical error of fatwa rasheediya will
also place a fatwa on their own scholar?
Answer:
It is not new to see such puppets shouting against prominent ulama of ahlus sunnah.
However, I would like to answer the objection with supporting references to expose
this ignorant and his blind followers.
With the above said objection, he wants to put the following blames on barelvis.
 Shia are muslims.

 Masjids of Shia & Sunni have same ruling.
 Shias are only fasiq and not kafirs.
 Shias are not out of ahlus sunnah wajamath.
 Barelvis support shia and respect them.
The person who is objecting the fatwa of Syed Deedar Ali Shah Rahmathullah Alaihi
has included some additional words which are not mentioned in the original fatwa.
The underlined words “Sirf Aur Sirf” and “Na Kafir Na Hi Alhe Sunnath Say Kharij”
are not found in the original fatwa but found only the word “Fasiq”. Refer the screen
shot below.

If you read the given 2 line explanation in the same fatwa page downside, Allama
Syed Deedar Ali Shah Rahmathullah Alaihi has clearly mentioned the above answer is
valid only “if they does possess any belief which lead to kufr. If they possess any
kufriya belief then the above answer and rule of masjid is not applicable”. See how
clearly it is mentioned in the fatwa. This is the belief of ahlus sunnah wajamath. Then
what is the point of objection here? Why the below 2 lines are not highlighted and
discussed in the objection. The illiteracy is exposed now. Refer the complete enlarge
fatwa below.
Let us have another reference from same fatwa deedariya, page no. 120, fatwa no. 47
– He clearly mention “the imam who support and believe the impermissible acts of
shias such tazia daari are not allowed to perform salaah in sunni masjid and its
makrooh tehreemi”. What else this illiterate deobandi wants still?

has clearly mentioned the rulings of shias. Also he advised not to have any kind of

Imam Ahmed Rida Rahmathullah Alaihi has refuted all the deviant sects including
Shias, Rafdis, Tafdili etc., I would like to provide some references below as a
collection for your research works. These writing of Imam Ahmed Rida shows
according to his stance the shias are not muslims. Then how come they will be
included in ahlu sunnah wajamath as per this illiterate deobandi objection?

Tareeqi Dastaweez By Zia Ur Rahman Farooqi
This book is written by a prominent scholar who is supported by deobandis. In this

book you can find hundreds of fatwas from various schools of thought against shias.
All the corrupted beliefs of shias are exposed from their original books. In the same
book author is including the fatawas of Imam Ahmed Raza Rahmathullah Alaihi also
in refutation of shias. The presence of Imam Ahmed Raza fatwa in this book is also a
proof that, deobandis are aware of barelvis stance against Shia sect. Knowingly the
objection is placed on fatwa deedariya by this illiterate follower.

Usool E Takfeer:
It is a basic rule of sharia’a that, you cannot put a verdict of kufr upon someone
unless certain conditions are met. Kindly read the books of Usool E Takfeer1 for more
details. In the mentioned fatwa deedariya as well the mufti sahab has placed
conditions below very clearly. But the person who is objecting this fatwa is not
aware of these basic rules. In order to through back the objection on his face, I would
like to present an online fatwa of Darul Uloom Deoband2, India whereas the same
rule is being followed. Will he misquote the same fatwa on social media saying
Deobandis not declaring shia as kafir in general?

Conclusion:
1) Objection is baseless. Rule for shias who possess beliefs of kufr were already
mentioned in the same fatwa below.
2) Ignorant has not discussed the main ruling instead he simply misquoted the
fatwa.
3) Ruling for shias and Sunnis are not same as per writings of Imam Ahmed Raza
and his followers. Refer “Majmoo’a Rasail” which contains about 20
refutations to Shia.
4) The fatwa does claim Shias are sunnis.
5) The fatwa does not claim Shias are not out of Islam.
6) The words “Sirf Aur Sirf” and “Na Kafir Na Hi Alhe Sunnath Say Kharij” are
not found in the original fatwa but found only the word “Fasiq”. Ignorant is
adding few words himself which is a clear lie and fraudulent.
7) Ignorant has not learned the books of Imam Ahmed Rida, instead he is
exposing his own illiteracy.
8) The followers of this person should feel shame and start reviewing his works
prior to circulate in social media.
