B. Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes


1. Course Description
This course is intended to equip the students with reasonable skills necessary for successful communication in
the four skills of language (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and use in a meaningful context.

2. Course Main Objective

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

 Answer relevant comprehension questions on general texts.


 Apply different reading techniques: elementary skimming and scanning.
 Listen with understanding to different topics.
 Speak about different topics in different communicative situations.
 Apply their knowledge of basic grammatical elements.
 Use new words in meaningful sentences.
