Sourcing KPI’s Monitoring/Reporting:
In spite of tough economic conditions in the country I was able to achieve all KPI’s on
commitment or stretch level through sourcing team, also pointed out errors & corrections were
made resulting in accuracy of report. PO compliance KPI was also corrected after substantial
time consumption & discussions with QVP operations & finally able to successfully incorporate
Auto compliant list.
Periodic Reporting:
All reports, Local as well as at Market unit level are being completed & sent at given time lines
with accuracy including Monthly Saving report, Monthly Business reports. Also Appreciated by
MUME performance controller.
Administrative Tasks:
Introduced Task monitoring system in the department to gauge the activity monitoring &
reporting of the staff.
o Introduced SOP for the CST tracking & monitoring in the department.
o Introduced Price checking database as a one resource for sourcing department
to check historical prices.

Tianshi International Pakistan Company (Pvt.) Ltd. is a Chinese Multinational business company
engaged in manufacturing and marketing healthcare products and Devices encompassing 104
subsidiaries worldwide. Tianshi, known as Tiens, has over 1000 varieties of products
manufactured in 7 production bases in different regions in the world. Tianshi International
Pakistan Co. (Pvt.) Ltd is the outlet in Pakistan with head office in Karachi and branches in
Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan.
I joined Tiens as a regional marketing manager north with the job responsibilities of training,
product launches, organize business building seminars, counseling of distributors, customers
care.
Promoted with in two months as a Branch manager Islamabad by the managing director after
looking at my administrative capabilities as an additional job responsibility.
The responsibilities are, to manage all day to day administrative aspects of branch and taking
care of business on daily basis, motivate & train staff, provide support to the customers for
improving sales. Maintaining the daily sales and stocks records, communicating with all branches
through out Pakistan.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital marketing services is a sub stockiest of Nestle operating in Islamabad and delivering
nestle products to the distributors of Upper Kashmir, northern areas, Rawalpindi Islamabad, up to
Jhelum. As their business increased they needed a person having the ability to handle the project
of converting a stockiest into an Organization. I accepted this challenge and started working as
follows:
Developed organizational policy for company.
Developed formats according to the policy for recruiting & hiring, training, employees
records etc.
Gathered information regarding the jobs people are doing and accordingly made job
descriptions to minimize the duplication of jobs.
Organized system of requisitions, payments etc through computerized formats.
Changed office environment into a corporate environment for better working atmosphere
introduced Sop’s for different day to day jobs.
Improved the flow of ware houses through flow charts and according to the
recommendations of the principle.
Implemented good ware house practices according to the laid down laws.
After implementations it was observed that the job satisfaction has improved as well as the
utilization of the resource was legitimate. The company itself declared them the best distributor of
the region, sales wise and systems wise.
Key Responsibilities:
Glitz Pharma established a plant in Islamabad and required a Marketing head to start the
operation in Pakistan Pharma market. After completing the successful series of interviews I took
this challenge to start the operation and joined as a head of sales and marketing. Operation
started as follows:
Selected the Products for registration from the top twenty therapeutic classes according to the
manufacturing ability of plant and Pakistan’s Pharma Market’s behavior.
Prepared marketing plan of the company of around 30M with the Organizational hierarchy and
divided it into phases of launch to minimize the risk of over investment.
Developed operational SOP’s for working of different departments.
Developed computerized infrastructure of Head office according to the norms of the industry, with
the stationary required in the head office and to the field force.
Started hiring process for basic infrastructure in the head office.
Started hiring of field force according to the phases of marketing plan.
Developed product pack designs, promotional inputs.
Operation started in September 2005 and till to date the sales figures achieved are more than 2.0
M in the operated area.
Successfully Completed the Launch Process and organized Ten major Symposia to launch the
company in the doctor’s community.

Operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Development
Organized and developed SOP’s for New Product development/inclusion in Amson’s Portfolio,
according to ISO 9001 requirements.
Developed SOP’s for R&D department (marketing) for both at Head office and South region.
Coordinated the entire R&D related activities / tasks of South Region.
Provided inputs in the development of Sales, Marketing and Reporting SOP’s/ policies for Amson
Sales team South zone (received letter of appreciation from Director).
Reviewed and provided substantial inputs in the development of Company Employees Policy.
Reviewed all Job descriptions of Amson Staff and provided substantial inputs for the Revision of
Job descriptions.
Literature Review Committee
Reviewed newly developed, existing printing material, Product literatures, Package inserts as a
member of Literature review committee.
Reviewed and provided substantial inputs on technical aspects of product literatures, Package
inserts, pack designs according to recommendations of international / local regulatory authorities
like FDA, WHO, MHRA and MoH.
Editor Company’s news letter (Salud)
Successfully developed, coordinated and arranged publishing of Amson’s half yearly news letter
SALUD in 2004.
Information Medical Statistics (IMS) data coordinator
Independently organized correspondence and persuaded the Management of AMSON for the
subscription and enrollment of IMS data. IMS is a Swiss based company providing authentic data
to Pharmaceutical companies globally.
Prepared SOP’s for the usage of data by marketing and concerned Managers.
Independently administered the restricted usage of the IMS data through stringent systems.
Marketing Feasibilities and Viabilities of New Products
Suggested 25 to 30 new products / dosage forms and molecules to AMSON Management with
marketing feasibilities / information in major therapeutic classes including Anti TB, Anti Infectives,
Anti Virals, Anti Cancers, Interferon’s, Antibiotics, Anti Asthmatics, Systemic Sex Hormones,
Anthelmintics and Vaccines. All products were accepted for registration while three products were
launched in 2004; where as Anti TB range will be launched in 2005 (launched products are
expected to increase earnings by at least 15 - 20% due to my personal inputs).

Identification and selection of full range of T.B products according to World Health Organization
(WHO) recommended list.
• Development of Marketing Plans, Pack designs, Package Inserts, Promotional literature
and Training manuals of the complete range.
• Provided support to the Regulatory Department in the development of registration files for
the recommended range of TB products.
Conceptualized and Initiated the Project of Bioavailability for T.B Products with University of Cape
Town South Africa, to include Anti TB range in the Global Drug Facility (GDF), independently
organized all correspondence, tasks and executed agreements with the local/ international
research Institutions.

Improved/ developed processes for field force working, distribution channels and ensured
achievement of assigned targets.
Managed 07 sales representatives, in the territories from Peshawar to Gujrat, developed a
system of targeting, field working, organizing, territorial coverage, training, incentives (Per person
out put improved three folds).

I have the privilege to be promoted to this post in the shortest time in the history of Wyeth
Pakistan, that is with in three years of joining the organization and became responsible of 10 field

I was hired in a territory which was thought to be the toughest and was on 84% YTD against
Target in April 1990. I kept my territory above 100% for three consecutive years.
Received company’s Highest Sales Award of National Champion of Pakistan in 1992, and
was invited to USA to attend the GOLD CUP CEREMONY on a paid vacation to Florida for
one month, sponsored by Wyeth USA and also have the privilege of being the youngest
sales target achiever worldwide for Wyeth.
