(a) A device is loaded in such a way that an ODD number is twice as likely occur as an EVEN
number. If E is an event of occurrence of number less than 4, find the probability of E?
(b) Three cards are drawn in succession without replacement from an ordinary deck. Find the
probability of the event A1 Π A2 Π A3, where A1 is the event that the first card is “Black Ace”, A2
is the event that the second card is King or Jack and A3 is the event of the third card which is
greater than 2 and less than 8?

sport games. How many ways are there that his mother will get 4 arcade and 2 sports games?

(c) In a cricket team there are 12 players, among these 12 players there is one captain, 4
batsmen, 3 all-rounders, 3 regular bowlers and one extra player. How many different ways can
they be arranged?
