Q No 2. Rules and regulations of Futsal.

Answer :
The rules and regulations of futsal are as follows :
• Foul – The fouls are penalized with a direct free kick, a penalty kick or an
indirect free kick. The fouls committed by each team in each part of the
game is recorded in the match report.

• Substitution - Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one
of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted.

• Obstruct - An indirect free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if a

player plays in a dangerous manner, deliberately obstructs an opponent,
prevents the goalkeeper from throwing the ball with hands or anything else
for which play is stopped to caution or dismiss a player. The indirect free
kick is taken from the place where the infringement occurred.

• Drop ball – A dropped ball is a way of restarting the game after a

temporary stoppage which becomes necessary, while the ball is in play and
provided that immediately preceding the stoppage it has not passed over
the touchline or goal line.

• Knock out

• Hand ball - Hand ball is when a ball touches a player from the shoulder
down (not including the shoulder).

• Off-side - There is no offside in Futsal, and players can score from

anywhere in the court of play. When the ball goes out over the sideline, it is
then placed on the sideline; it must be stationary and kicked into the court
to another player. Attackers can get much closer to the goal than they can
in the traditional outdoor version of football.

• Penalty – The penalty kick must be reported against a team that commits a
foul punishable the free kick, inside their own penalty area .

• Fair charge - A fair charge is one in which a player makes nonviolent

shoulder to-shoulder contact with an opponent, with the arms and elbows
close to his/her own body, at least one foot on the ground, and the ball
within playing distance.
• Misconduct - Misconduct is penalised with a caution or a sending-
off .Disciplinary sanctions .The yellow card is used to communicate that a
player or substitute has been cautioned. The red card is used to
communicate that a player or substitute has been sent off.Only a player or
substitute may be shown the red or yellow card. The relevant card is shown
publicly and only on the pitch once the match has started. In other cases,
the referees verbally inform the players and team officials of the
disciplinary sanction taken. The referees have the authority to take
disciplinary sanctions from the moment they enter the premises where the
pitch is located before the start of the match until they leave them. A
player who commits a cautionable or sending-off offence, either on or off
the pitch, whether directed towards an opponent, a team-mate, the
referees or any other person, is disciplined according to the nature of the
offence committed.
