ACTIVITY 1 - The Worker
ACTIVITY 1 - The Worker
ACTIVITY 1 - The Worker
Work Immersion is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do have the potentials,
characters, talents, and skills to take up vigour of being a worker. What should you possess to
become a good worker? How will you prepare to work immersion?
Work immersion is part of student life especially when you are in 12 th grade in Senior
High School. This subject is not just a subject or to receive grades but for us to learn and
prepared for our future work and job. But for me this experience tells and show how kind of
employee I am in the future. And now I must improve my patience and dedication in my work.
Having characters, talents and skills in worker doesn’t define you that you don’t have
potentials and ability to work better. That characteristics is not easy to achieve, instead you can
have it by patience and practice consistently. But for me, I don’t have that kind of characteristics,
talents and skills but I have my patience and hardworking to be a good and best asset among my
colleagues. But as immersion student I should possess the good ethics and potentials skills that I
can show off and a good asset to my company in order me stay as I can.
I know myself; I know what thing I should foster and things that I should continue. So, I
should be a punctual. I should possess those characteristics because that is the basic of being of
being conscientious. Another vivacious in work, because being active or snappy is showing a
good spirit and dedicated to work. Most of my inadequateness is the basic needs mostly in work.
But beside of being lack in different things I have my skills also that I can showcase and to
amaze others unexpectedly.
I don’t need to be a virtuoso; I can be a good immersion student by my own good way. I
don’t need to copy someone to become. Be a good worker in your own good and mannered way.

excessively.
1. Do you agree to the company's policy guidelines, rules and agreement? Support your answer.
Yes, because in a company they have their guidelines to follow boss or institution make a
guideline that can be good for his employee. But if there is a rule that I can say beyond my
rights, maybe I should contradict and put my rights. Especially when the rules insult my human
rights. But if the agreement is good enough for us, there’s nothing to disagree from their rules.
2. Was there a rule that you think is not acceptable to you? Why?
For me nothing. I know that companies who have well to their employees they receive
good give back and why? Because if you are good to your colleagues and employees you gain
more blessings not from the people but from the Almighty. Me personally, I can do what they
wanted to work for me but I don’t want to abuse my rights as a person not as an employee. I give
respect and follow what they want but the only thing that I don’t want to feel from my
accompanies is that I am making me a bad image and have no respect.
Having willingness to work and being passionate is having also the fighting spirit in your
work. No matter how and where you look at it, it shall do a great exchange. Regarding the
situation above, it’s like I’m in a situation where I’m in the middle of colliding stones.
Professionally, I shouldn’t allow my friend to have some documents in my position that need
help him about his crime. Personally, as a close friend, I would definitely have wanted to help
him. So, it’s like I’m in the middle of colliding stones. But I have to into a decision of not
helping my friend to have those documents. Crime is a crime, no matter how and where you look
at it, it’s still crime about his case. I can help him in other way but not giving him the documents
that can help hi, for his crime. If he is not guilty about the crime, I can help him to be free. My
job is my job that could be dream of someone.so I want to do my job effectively with honesty. I
was trusted by my boss and my colleagues so I have to do it well
Trust can be earned so I don’t want to waste the trust that they give for me. Even if my
boss will know if for example, I’ll help my friend, but I believe that my god is watching over me,
I am still guilty in the eyes of my cheater.
Conflict is normal part of any healthy relationship. After all, two people can’t be
expected to agree on everything, all the time. The key is not avoiding conflict but to learn how to
resolve it in a healthy way. When conflict is managed or mismanaged, it can cause great harm to
a relationship, but when handled in a respectful, positive way, conflict provides an opportunity to
strengthen the word between two people. Conflict arises from differences, both large and small,
it occurs whenever people disagree over the values, motivations, perceptions, ideas or desires.
Sometimes these differences appeal trivial, but when a conflict triggers strong feelings, a deep
personal used is open at the core of the problem. These needs a range from the need to feel safe
and secure or respected and valued, to the need for greater closeness and intimacy.
In my experience as an immersion student, I did not experience any conflict with my co-
immersion students. Luckily, in our group we usually get along well because we always have the
same ideas and the same “wavelength” of attitudes. if there were some disagreement its very
small that we handle it in a matter of minutes. I can easily get along well with my co-workers.
My techniques of getting along with my co-workers is to treat them a respect, kindness, tolerance
and love. Yes, we are different individual with different attitudes but only if we treat them with
kindness, love, tolerance and love. I think I will not have any disagreements. These are times that
they are so mean to me, to the point that they will stay detrimental words against me, and I left
bad and I was hurt. I only think that they are entitled in their own opinion so I wouldn’t mind to
avoid.
If I’m going to rate my skills in handing differences of opinion, I could say I’m out of 10.
I can handle well but if it’s against my ideas. I contradicted them but I’m in a right way. For
example, we are talking about certain issues which is we have different ideas. I usually give my
ides even if its contradicts to their ideas but I will not raise my votive to push my ideas. As much
as possible, I will not tolerate conflicts and disagreements just because of a certain situation.

It has been said that first impression lasts. By that fact, I made it sure that I should be
oriented with the common questions that the employers commonly asked. Practicing in
answering the potential question with a potential answer is good start. Having good impressions
to the boss is a must for me. It’s natural to feel nervous but as long as you show self-confidence
and self-esteem. Being able to know the company’s vision and mission is a plus factor. During
our interview with the partner-industry supervisor, a lot of questions have been asked and some
of them are as follows:
A lot of questions have been asked and some of it are funny and personal. Those questions
above are some of the questions that I remember during the interview. It’s been a great
experience though.
During the conduct of the mock job interview, do you think you did well?
Yes, because I think I did well but not excellent. This is because it’s my first time to feel
nervous especially in this kind of situation which I Mock Job Interview. It feels like a I’m going
to a real job interview. I can say that it’s not easy to apply in a certain job, I can feel sweat
flowing at my back ad head. But luckily, I did my interview well. So, this experience gives me
more confidence for my next and upcoming interviews.
What are the areas that you think you are good and areas that needed to be improved?
I think I did great in my personality most especially the way I dressed up. As I said first
impression lasts, this means that your employer will look at you and the way you present
yourself in front of him. So, meaning, his impression will be based on how you dressed and how
you pleasantly look. More specifically you fixed your hair, the way you choose your attire and
how neatly you look really matters. But the area I must to improve is my Communication Skills.
Because based on my previous interview I had a hard time in speaking the English language
fluently when I answer the interview questions. So, having a good physical personality is not
enough in applying a job. It should come with a god communication skills and right work ethics.
These aspects should blend together in order for us to pass in a job interview.
Having a confidence in any job interview is a factor that will definitely help you in
landing a job. But for me don’t have that much confidence since still get nervous when I have a
job interview. But compared in a previous interview, I am who I am a little bit confidence
because I already know the do’s and don’ts in a job interview. For me I will focus in the area
where I need to improve. I will work hard to improve my communication skills and the same
time; I will give much time in practicing my communication by practicing answering interview
questions commonly asked by the interviewer.
Being confident can be shown by answering the questions fluently. But for me answering
the questions fluently by having good communication skills is not really necessary. I believed
that when you answer the questions, it should come from the heart and answer it honestly. It’s
natural to feel nervous but for as long as you show courage and honesty in answering the
questions, I think you’ll have a great impact to your interviewer.

ACTIVITY 28
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
Great learnings come from bitter and sweet experiences. Last December 2, 2019, I
started my immersion in the Municipality of Libagon, particularly in the Municipal
Engineering Office. There, we don’t have a lot of works since most of the works in the office
were related in the Engineering works. Some of their terms used were not familiar to me. If I
have to be very honest, I don’t have much to say when it comes to accomplishment reports
since I think I don’t have any big accomplishments in that office.
But if I have to recall my experience in the MEO, I think I have a lot of small
accomplishments which helped me in becoming what I am now. I value those experiences
and accomplishments because I was able to it with pride and ease. What I did in the office
was merely cleaning the office, printing the documents, photocopying of documents, filing
the documents, entertaining the clients and running some errands. Those were only the things
that I have done in the office. I don’t think I can call it an accomplishment doing those things
but still, if I’m going to think of it, yes of course it’s an accomplishment.
On the first day, we don’t have much things to do since to we will just being oriented
by the office head. She asked me what strand do we have. Since we told her that we are GAS
student, she then decided not to include us their engineering works since we can’t relate in
their works. So that’s the very reason why our works in the office were only limited to what I
have mentioned at the beginning of this page. But then again, even if our works were only
limited, I can say that those were part of my accomplishments since I learned from those
small things. As what they said, great things come from small beginnings. So, with those
small works and small jobs I had in the office, I still learned big. I learned to be patient and I
learned that in everything that we do, we do it with love and kindness so that we will be able
to do it perfectly.
In doing those jobs I have in the office; I was able to do it easily because most of it
were computer-related works and I am computer-literate individual so I was able to did it
well. That’s the very reason why I have some doubts if I can call it accomplishments since
those were easy job for me. But as what I’ve said, even if those are just simple things, I
learned a lot of things most especially in my positive work ethics. Work ethics that I think
one of the most important things that we have to consider in applying for a good job.
ACTIVITY 29
MY UPDATED RESUME
ACTIVITY 30
WORK IMMERSION HIGHLIGHTS
“The price of a memory, is the memory of the sorrow it brings.” If there were
moments during my immersion time, it could be the moments when I learned how to deal
with other people most especially in serving the clients. I believe that even though I had a
little thing that I did in the office where I was assigned, I can say that there were no big
highlights during my time in the immersion.
But again, as I recall my experience and if I have to share my work immersion
highlights, again it would be the nice camaraderie I had experience with my co-immersion
students and the office personnel most especially our office head. At first, I thought that our
office head was very strict and intimidating. The office personnel also were intimidating and
I thought they were very strict because they were not smiling the first time we got there in
the office. That’s the very reason why during my first two days, I wasn’t talking and I wasn’t
doing things. I was just sitting in the corner waiting for the office head to tell us what to do.
It was on my third day of immersion days when I got to know my office head. She was very
nice to talk to. She has a very nice attitude. She was approachable. She as not strict. She
always smiles at last. The office personnel were also very nice to us. They made feel
comfortable and feel at home. They told us that we don’t have much things to do because it’s
not everyday that the office will have a client that would get building permit or business
permit. They even gave us advises on how to deal and entertain the clients.
Again, if I had a memorable moments and moments that I should consider as a
highlight in my work immersion, it would be the good camaraderie in the office. All of us
has a good fellowship towards each other. We don’t have any troubles and quarrels. Our
office head gave us snacks sometimes if we don’t have much things to do. Those immersion
days were scheduled with town fiesta also approaching. That week had a sports league and
was held in the town plaza. Because we don’t have much thing to do, our office head told us
that we can watch the basketball tournament if we were board. And since we don’t have
much things to do, and we were also bored, we let ourselves enjoy the time and just to kill
the time. We really had a nice and kind office head because she let us watch the tournament.
That time, our intramural meet was also coming and our office head also let us have a
practice and focus our mind in the coming event of the school. As I said, it wasn’t that
beautiful experience to be considered as highlights but I believe that every experience is a
highlight whether it’s big or small since all this experience have a big and small effect in our
life. It shapes us to be what we are now and it shapes our future.
ACTIVITY 31
MY REFLECTIONS
“One thing you have to realize from now on is that it doesn't matter if this is a dream or not.
Survival depends on what you do, not what you think.”
-Rebecca McKinsey, Anterria-
As what I have read, that it doesn’t matter if it’s a dream or not because in this
journey called life, we survive based on what we do to achieve our dreams. It’s not enough
only if we just think of our dreams. We have to act it out. We have to do our best to achieve
our dreams. Dreaming and thinking about it is not enough if we don’t act it out.
During the entire immersion process, I learned that’s it’s not enough if we just sit in
the corner and think when will the immersion ends. At the first day of mu immersion, I was
afraid and I was thinking if I can do it since I don’t have any background about the job. I also
don’t know what to do if I was already working in the office where I was assigned. Though I
was afraid, I said to myself that I can do it since I was preparing this immersion for quite
some time. Our teachers were also preparing us for this time. Personally, I don’t want to fail
my teachers about their expectations from us because we are the pioneering batch and much
has been expecting from us. With these fears at the back of my mind and heart, I still have a
courage to face the immersion since I have a faith in God Almighty. I also got draw my
courage from my parents, classmates, true friends and family my strength and courage. I said
to myself that whatever will happen ahead of me during the entire immersion, I know that
it’s the will of God and I believe that everything happens for a reason.
I learned a lot from the entire my entire immersion. I learned how to deal with other
people well which I think will be of great help when the time comes that I will be having a
job. I also learned to treat colleagues and co-workers well because they are the one that help
me in the entire process. Each of them will contribute a certain thing towards my becoming
of a successful individual. I also learned to respect each other in the office and each client to
avoid quarrel and trouble. It’s a must for us to treat each other with kindness, tolerance and
love if you want to have a harmony in the office. Learning to approach your co-workers will
also help us in growing professionally. Accepting the fact that we can’t do anything and that
we need help is not a sign of weakness. Anyway, being weak also does not becomes less of a
person. In this world, I acknowledge that there are those people that above and below us. If
you are above, leaned to help those who are below and if you are below, learned to respect
those who are above and make them as my inspiration in life to become successful. Being
successful is not about money, power and position in life. It’s about being able to influence
other people.
