DESCRIPTION

Causeway Zinc Phosphate rust preventive quick-drying


primer is designed for painting of exposed metal surface.
 Acrylic based stoving coating with special anti-
corrosive pigment to enhance anti-corrosive TECHNICAL DATA SHEET
properties.

APPLICATION o VISCOSITY : 100 Poise (10 Pa.s)


o Method of application
 Spray o SPECIFIC GRAVITY : Approx 1.40 ± 0.05
 Dipping
o VOLUME OF SOLIDS : 65%
SURFACE PREPERATION
 Use mechanical blasting or electrical sanding to o THINNER : Causeway Stoving
remove any coated material or oxide layers on the Thinner
surface. Causeway ESS Thinner
 Remove any dust, oil and other foreign contaminants
that may affect adhesion properties by hand or
o MIXING RATIO : 40% (Thinner)
power tools.
 For aluminium & galvanized steel use Causeway Etch
primer before applying the primer. o SPRAY VISCOSITY : 20 seconds (Ford 4)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS o RECOMMENDED : 25-35µm


THICKNESS PER COAT
 Mix the contents in the container thoroughly before
use.
o THEORETICAL : ~12 m2/L (30µm DFT)
 Adjust the viscosity of the primer with recommended

thinner to the required viscosity.
 Allow 5 minutes flash off time between subsequent
o DRYING TIME : 150-1700C for 20 minutes

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
 Store at a cool dry place (@ room temperature o SHELF LIFE : 5 Months (unopened
/250C). @ Recommended storage

Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Do
