    Task 1. Answer the following questions:

    - Which Literary Terms did you know about?

    I knew metaphor and simile, alliteration, asyndeton, anaphora, Allegory.

     How did you know about them?

    I learned it when I studied at the school.

    - Which Literary Terms did you learn? How would you remember them?

    Literary terms also include powerful figurative language that writers use to summon


    emotion ranging from guilt to anger to bliss, and to allow us to see the world in new and
    magical ways.

    - A simile is a figure of speech that makes a comparison, showing similarities


    between two different things, where two things are compared
    directly using like or as; therefore, it is a direct comparison.
    For example:
    o He is as busy as a bee: It means he is working hard, as bees are known
    to be extremely busy.
    o I am as snug as a bug in a rug: It means that I feel very comfortable and
    cozy or are tucked up tight in bed.

    - A metaphor is a figure of speech that is used to make a comparison between two


    things that aren't alike but do have something in common. The metaphor's
    comparison is more indirect, usually made by stating something is something
    else. It is possible that you may have to work a little to find the meaning in a
    metaphor. When metaphor is used properly, they create strong images and leave
    lasting impressions: "He was sad" is so bland compared to "He was drowning in
    a sea of grief."
    Others examples.
    o The curtain of night fell upon us. In this metaphor, the evening did not
    develop into a velvet curtain: Indeed, simple words are being used to paint
    a colorful picture.
    o Books are the keys to your imagination. The word “key” is a simple word
    that you use the books to open the imagination.
    o Her tears were a river flowing down her cheeks. A river and tears aren't
    very alike; the first is of water in nature, while the second can be produced
    by our eyes. Both are a type of water that flows.
    o That lawn is a green carpet.

     How would you remember them?


    I remember Literary Terms when I read books and analyzing read
    comprehension.
