1. Concerning the Subject
1) The Things I Studied in Class Today I was studying about product assessment today. My friends and I did discussion about it in the class. 2) The Things I Have Understood I have understood about product assessment. There are two kinds of product assessment. Those are measuring knowledge and comprehension and measuring higher thinking process. The test formats which is used to measure knowledge and comprehension is short- answer types. By using this format, the learners have to answer the question with word, phrase or even number only. Then to measure higher thinking process, teacher can use essay test type. Essay test type has divided into four which are measuring application, measuring analysis, measuring synthesis, and measuring evaluation. 3) The Things I Did Not Understand I did not understand some examples of syllabus which I have read on internet. Each syllabus is different. I do not know which one is better. 4) My Problems Prof. Susanto gives me and my friend an assignment to make a Lesson Plan. However, I still need more example about making Indicators and Instructional Objectives by using a certain Standard Competency. Since Prof. Susanto tend to use supposition to make Indicators and Instructional Objectives, I think I need another example of Indicators and Instructional Objectives which are related with English teaching materials. 5) My Feelings and Opinions towards the Class (Subject) I think I have not learned much about assessment since we talk much about syllabus and Lesson Plan lately. However, I still think that discussing about syllabus and Lesson Plan is also necessary. I hope in the next meeting we are going to talk more about assessment because in this semester we also had ‘Language Assessment Development’ class. We know that ‘Language Learning Assessment’ is the first stage of assessment subject that we had before ‘Language Assessment Development’ subject and both subject are related. Therefore, I think it is really needed to learn more about assessment which is actually the theory of assessment so that both subject about assessment that we got in this semester will be achieved well. 6) My Feelings and Opinions towards the Teacher Sometimes me or my friends still do not understand about some materials. However, I am so glad that Prof. Susanto wants to explain again about the things that his students do not understand. 7) My Feelings and Opinions towards the Teaching-learning Activities Today I was happy because my friends and I could do discussion well even though Prof. Susanto could not come to the class. The discussion was done attractively. We help each other and we teach each other. We also shared our comprehension about the materials. 2. What I Have Done to Solve My Problems/Difficulties 1) At Home (What and How) I have read some references on internet. It helps me even though sometimes the file that I got from internet is not clear. However, I tried to understand it by myself. 2) In the Library (What and How) I have not gone to the library, so I have not read any book. However, I went to reading room even though I have not found the book related to Language Learning Assessment subject.
3. What I Will Have to Do to Solve My Problems/Difficulties
1) In the campus with friends (What and How) My friends and I usually gather to talk about materials of this subject that we still do not understand. If we find some difficulties in this subject, we usually ask each other and share our knowledge about it. I think friends is an effective way to solve the difficulties in learning something. Since we are in the same age and in the same class, we tend to have the same difficulties in learning particular subject. Meanwhile, if we have discussion with friends, we will feel more comforteble and we can ask anything about a particular subject that still make us confuse. Then we can share our knowledge comfortably or we can try to solve the problem together. 2) In the Next Teaching-learning Activities with the Teacher (What and How) I will ask Prof. Susanto if there is something that I still do not understand about the materials. I will ask Prof. Susanto to explain it again.
