IFCI Venture Capital Funds

IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd. (IVCF) was founded in 1975 by IFCI. IVCF is
one of those companies that were involved in the process of introducing venture
capital concept in India. From the very beginning, IFCI Venture Capital Funds
Ltd. has been providing financial support for establishing new business
projects. It also offered help for the commercialization of modern technologies.
Since its origination, the company has offered financial services to more than
350 start-up businesses. At the same time, the company is also involved in the
commercialization process of more than 50 modern technologies.

At the beginning, IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd. was known as Risk Capital
Foundation (RCF). The primary aim of Risk Capital Foundation was to provide
medium scale business settings with institutional services. These businesses
belonged to the first generation of technological experts and professionals and
were established under the Risk Capital Scheme. After being converted into
Risk Capital and Technology Finance Corporation Limited, the company
provided the Technology Finance and Development Scheme. The scheme was
introduced to offer financial services for the modernization of the indigenous.

venture capital fund in July 1993, exclusively for support to entrepreneurs in the
small sector. Initially a corpus has been created by setting apart Rs. 10 crores.

or business model and opportunities for growth and earnings.

The Company is, at present, engaged in advisory services to MFs/OCBs/FIIs
and other investment groups and the recommendations made to these
institutionsare based on company's inhouse research for which the company has
already created facilities with adequate personnel at Fort and
Andheri Offices. The company has taken up some of the work
previously being done by its promoting company, Securities Analysis
(I) Pvt Limited, and is negotiating further advisory assignments.
The advice rendered by the Company is as the form of providing
investment ideas and research reports to the fund manager. The
company is also investing funds in primary and secondary market.
