loves climbing on the branches of a tree! It can eat one kilo of leaves and sleep 18 hours a
day ! This mammal gets its name from the native inhabitants of Australia and it means

b. This animal lives in groups called packs. The communication skills are very important for
the pack’s survival. They work together to hunt and protect their territory. When a pack
howls, it can heard from ten miles away. The howl is used as a way to call another for
another pack to warn in case of danger. Its sense of smell is one hundred times stronger
than a human’s. Its body language may remind you of another animal: a pet dog.

c. It’s the tallest and heaviest of all birds. It cannot fly but it can run very fast over forty
miles (64 km) an hour for short distance. Strong legs can be used for self-defense and it
can kick with a force mighty enough to kill a lion. Contrary to popular myths, it does not

its feathers blends in with the sandy soil where it lives. From far away, it looks like it has

d. This is the largest mammal that lives in the ocean. It can weigh up to two hundred tons,
approximately 33 elephants. Its heart is around the size of a VW Beetle car and its cranial
activity is large enough to park a car inside. It is the loudest animal on earth as its sounds
can reach 188 decibels, while a jet reaches 140 decibels. It sleeps with only one half of its
brain as the other half remains active to maintain their breathing.

e. It is a lizard that lives in the rain forests or deserts. It can change the color of its skin in
