RWTH Aachen University – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Application Supplement Form: Course Contents in previous study programmes
Name, First Name: Bhagyesh Shah

RWTH Application ID: 1-00008576

Overview

The international master programme in Automotive Engineering attracts applicant from numerous countries and
universities, and thus from bachelor programmes with diverse curricula. In order to evaluate the different course
contents, you are kindly requested to fill in these supplement forms with regard to the following subjects:
• Mechanics
• Computer-Aided Design and Machine Elements
• Thermodynamics
• Heat and Mass Transfer
• Engineering Materials
• Control Engineering
• Fluid Mechanics
• Mathematics
• Automotive Engineering I (Vehicle Longitudinal Dynamics)
• Automotive Engineering II (Vehicle Vertical and Lateral Dynamics)
• Internal Combustion Engines Fundamentals
• Mechatronic Systems in Vehicle Engineering
Please make sure that you have the necessary course descriptions from your home university available. The
declarations you make are subject to formal and scientific assessment by the selection committee as per §3 of the
Regulations of Examination (Prüfungsordnung ) of our master programme. Please be as accurate as possible when
matching course contents, and do not provide course contents that cannot be verified. The selection committee
reserves the right to deny acceptance of previous coursework if it is deemed unfit for our master programme.

If one or more subjects were not part of your previous studies, the selection committee can impose individual
enrolment conditions that would still allow you to study Automotive Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. This
predominantly applies to the four Automotive Engineering subjects, but to some extent also to the basic modules listed
first. In most cases, a maximum of five additional subjects can be imposed, which may extend your master programme
duration by up to one semester.

Instructions

Each form addresses one subject and consists of three parts. Make sure you have entered your name and ID above.
The first part is the list of Courses at your Home University and their corresponding coursework amounts. You may
list up to six modules from your undergraduate studies that contain topics that we seek in this subject. If you have no
previous courses to list in this field, leave this sheet empty.

The second part is the overview of Course Contents. Please match each row with courses #1 to #6 if applicable.
Leave the boxes unchecked if a topic was not or mostly not covered.

Finally, in the third part you should list the Course References which allow the assessment of the declared contents.
These are ideally web links to the course outline on your home university’s website. If the syllabus is uploaded as an
attachment, please state the filename here.

Thank you for your cooperation.
