    The students from Divine Word College of Vigan conducted an outdoor Bible sharing activity in Lagatit Sto. Dominggo as part of their NSTP class. They were oriented by their instructors Mr. Francis Assuncion and Mr. Frederic Agoot. On their first visit, they were welcomed warmly by the barangay captain but were only able to attend mass. On their second visit, the barangay captain approved their plan to conduct a Bible sharing activity for children, but unfortunately no one was there to welcome them when they arrived. They were unable to complete the activity due to the COVID19 pandemic. The student learned the importance of teamwork and appreciated the natural beauty of the area.

    The students of Divine Word College of Vigan, NSTP class conducted an outdoor

    activity which is BIBLE SHARING in the town of Lagatit Sto. Dominggo. It was very difficult

    for us to speak in front of the children because we don’t have enough knowledge about the bible.

    But because of our instructor gave us an idea to attain our goal, about what we can do the

    children are our future. Our instructor said an outdoor activity is to furthermore widen the

    student’s knowledge and we can apply this activity as a future educator.

    The activity was spearheaded by the NSTP teacher, Mr. Francis Assuncion and Mr.

    Frederic Agoot. First were oriented by Mr. Frederic Agoot about what we are going to do before

    we go to the lagatit Sto. Dominggo. It was discussed about our transportation which were had a

    contribution of 50 pesos each of fare, it was also discussed about what we will be a meaningful

    activity and we decided to choose BIBLE SHARING, it was an opportunity and great for me to

    teach about a religion. I know many children do not understand yet the bible and it might be that

    we are a light of others.

    First of activity renting two jeepney, students and teacher went in Lagatit Sto. Dominggo,

    the barangay Captain and barangay Tanod was welcomed us warmly and wholeheartedly. It was

    the first day and having a mass that time. And the next Saturday, we went again in lagatit Sto.

    Dominggo, we asked permission to the barangay Captain to allowed us to conduct an activity for

    our NSTP class. And the barangay Captain was agreed of our plan. We prepared everything we

    need for our activity. My team groups subjected that we have a feeding after our discussion so

    that children will be more willing listens. The next Saturday it was very exciting and tense and I

    thought that the barangay lagatit will cooperate but I felt so sad because there is no one

    welcomed us. The barangay captain was not around.


    So far, we didn’t accomplish our activity due to COVID19. What I learned from this

    activity is that team work, and always look the beauty of our nature. Since it was my first time to

    visit the town of barangay lagatit, it was very awesome and beautiful place, as a team leader I

    was experience met new friends and they are so kind to me because I was older than them. We

    learned a lot skills and knowledge, and I am looking forward to have an activity again with my

    teammates.
