Configuration Steps
SAP Fiori - Implementation and Configuration
Terminology used:
FES – Front-End Server
BES – Back-End Server
RFC – Remote Function Call
SCIF – SAP Services
You will be able to run a specific task list in which then you would follow the steps required to configure
that specific task list, once complete you will move on to the next task list.
The order in which the tasks lists are run is important – for example we cannot configure SAP Fiori
Launchpad without activating the necessary SICF services for it.
Each task list can be performed manually by going though Fiori Guides and finding out each manual step to
be performed. But form my experience in SAP Fiori, ever since I found STC01, I had the possibility to setup
SAP Fiori within minutes! As a matter of fact, I’ve used it ever since to setup and configure SAP Fiori.
• It can assist us in configuring the communication channels between the BES and FES (Gateway)
• It will provide you with guidance on the steps to take in the order that it should be conducted
• The tasks lists will provide helpful documentation to understand why each process is being processed
• You do not have to manually conduct each task – for example tasks lists allow for multiple OData
services to be activated at once instead of you activating each one manually and assigning system
Aliases etc.
• Task lists are basically a life saver
The following table lists all the tasks lists available for SAP Fiori
*Please note there are other task lists that available but not applicable to SAP Fiori, we will be only focusing
on those applicable to SAP Fiori Implementation and Configuration
