3. Introduction
This document describes a process for diagnosing and repairing Time Out
failures from the PCBA tester. The process and groupings below outlines
possible measurements to determine the appropriate component, for repair or
replacement.
4. Scope
This document has been developed from experience gained on X803158-001
Xenon XDK motherboards. The failure analysis process outlined in this document
should be used in conjunction with the “Motherboard Debug Guide Development
Process” document.
5. Audience
This document is aimed at Engineers and Technicians who are performing first
pass debug of core digital failures from the XBOX360 motherboard PCBA tester.
6. Process
Check the failure shown on the PCBA tester or in the TV and do procedure
according to the relevant category.
• Check for proper ODD power voltages on J1D1 as shown below (V_12P0,
V_5P0 & V_3P3)

• If the board doesn’t show a front panel error code and the FT error code
fits on 0x81510027,

• If appear on the front panel 0x4A replace U4D1 (GPU). Some times could
appear E74 (error 74) on the TV.
7.11 Category G Error 0x4B & Error 0x4C (TVE75 & TVE76)
Description: The video starts and suddenly appears the error code E76 on
the TV, Front panel code 0x4C or 0x4B
• Replace U1B1
• Replace U2C1
7.12 Category H Error 0x47 & Error 0x48 (TVE71 & TVE72)
The video starts and suddenly appears the error code E71 or E72 on the TV, or
fail of front panel code 0x47 or 0x48 replace:
