You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para

New York is a big city in the


United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
located on Liberty Island in
the Hudson River
Peter's Square is one of the
largest and most beautiful
squares in the world. It is located
in Vatican City, at the feet of St.
Peter's Basilica. The dimensions
of the square are spectacular:
320 meters long and 240 meters
wide. It has 284 columns and 88
pilasters that line the plaza in a
four-row portico. At the top of the
columns there are 140 statues of
saints made in 1670 by Bernini's
disciples. And
it has an obelisk that they call
Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square the "silent witness".

The Sydney Opera House or


Sydney Opera House, located in
the city of Sydney, state of New
South Wales, Australia, is one of
the most famous and distinctive
buildings of the 20th century.All
you can go to concerts, theater,
opera, ballet among others. In
the bay are two of the most
famous symbols of the city, the
Sydney Opera House (Sydney
Opera House), and the Sydney

Edinburgh Castle is an ancient
fortress built on a rock of
volcanic origin located in the city
center of Edinburgh. It has been

one of the four streets that make
up the Royal Mile. The castle is
open to visitors and is managed
by the specialized agency
Edinburgh (Scotland) – Edinburgh Castle Scotland Historic. The most
specific paid tourist attraction in
Scotland, the castle inside has
several traditional buildings
including museums and
exhibition halls.
Dubai is a modern city with
modern buildings.The Burj
Khalifa (in Arabic, ‫برج خليفة‬,
phonetic transliteration into
Spanish: Burch Jalifa, Arabic
phonetic transliteration: Burj
Khalifa, in AFI: bʊɾʤ χalifæ) is a
skyscraper located in Dubai
(United Arab Emirates ). The
building is 828 meters high, it is
the tallest structure in recorded
history. It has one hundred and
sixty-three floors and the highest
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – The Burj swimming pool and several other
Khalifa world records. This building is
located in the middle of a desert.
You can also go to a viewpoint,
hotel, restaurant, offices and a
park of 11 ha.
