2 Mechanical operation test

2.1 The door check
Operation of door check their operation by maneuver, Maneuver the manual control to ensure
their proper operation.
Acceptable
Conformity operation.
2.2 The circuit breaker check
Check that the circuit breaker is reset after an electrical fault trip or by trip button.
Check that mechanism interlock are operate in accordance with the type of circuit breaker.
Acceptable
Conformity operation.
3 Interlock function test
Functional interlock tests of all low voltage circuits shall be made to verify the correct functioning of
auxiliary and control circuits in conjunction with the other parts of the equipment.
Each line of the schematic diagram must be function checked to ensure correct wiring has been carried
out during production phase.
Acceptable
Correct operation is following schematic diagrams.
4 Verification of the control circuit
Check control circuits of conformity to the circuit and schematic diagrams diagrams. Before power energize.
Acceptable
Correct control circuit is following schematic diagrams.

5 Electrical operation tests

Ensure that all electrical circuitry and auxiliary interlocking equipment operate correctly with respect to the
schematic diagrams.
Conformance is checked by applying the necessary AC. And DC.auxiliary voltage to the switchboard and
checking the operation of auxiliary relay and solenoids in a logical sequence as per the schematic diagrams.
Acceptable
Correct is operation logical sequence as per the schematic diagrams.

6 Verification of the metering circuit

Ensure that all metering complies with the specification with regard to type, manufacture, rating and check
correct operation.
Checking conformance of operation will vary with the type of meter. Checked by applying an injected current
and voltage (i.e. secondary injection) to the metering following specification.
Acceptable
Conformity of type and operation with the specification.

7 Verification of the phase protection

Make sure that all protection relays operate in accordance with the manufacture recommendations.
Ensure that the relays comply with the specification with regards to type, manufacture and rating.
Checking conformance of operation will vary with the particular type of relay. Checked by applying an
injected current (i.e. secondary injection) to the relay, and checking that the relay operates within the
specified time for a particular current for the settings and test values will following instruction testing of relay.
All protection relay detail are noted.
All protection relay shall be set according to Isc the grading report and with secondary current
injection on site.
Acceptable
Conformity of relay type and operation with the specification.

8 Verification of the protective circuit

Check the protective conductors circuit are identifid by the two colours green/yellow by screwed and bolted
connections shall be checked for the correct tightness.
Acceptable
Conformity with the specification of bolt.

9 Insulation resistance tests

This operation consists in checking test voltage value of the power circuit in accordance with the IEC
standards 61439-1 paragraph 11.9. Dielectric properties.
As an alternative for ASSEMBLIES with incoming protection rated up to 250 A the verification of insulation
resistance may be by measurement using an insulation measuring device at a voltage of at least 500 V d.c.
This is the installation's insulation level with regard to the earth. It must be regularly measured by the
supervisory agencies and must be greater than the values of standard IEC 60364-6
Table A : Minimum insulation resistance values with (IEC 60364-6) power off.
Circuit DC test Insulation
nominal voltage voltage resistance
(V) (V) (MΩ)
SELV and PELV 250 ≥ 0.25
500 V 500 ≥ 0.5
> 500 V 1000 ≥ 1.0
Reference : IEC 60364-6-61 Electrical Installations of building - Verification and testing - Initial verification
Note : SELV = Seperated Extra - Low Voltage
PELV = Protective Extra - Low Voltage
Acceptable
In this case, the test is satisfactory if the insulation resistance between circuits and exposed conductive
parts is at least 1 000 Ω/V per circuit referred to the supply voltage to earth of these circuits.

10 Dielectric withstanding voltage test

The high voltage test should be performed
- on each phase and earth in turn, with all other conductors connected to earth. The equipment will
have successfully passed the tests if at any time during the 1 second period there has been no
disruptive discharge. The test voltage are refer to IEC standard. For the main circuit and for the auxiliary
circuits the value shall be in accordance with table.

- Disconnect controller, meter and other equipments that cannot withstand high voltage. Apply 2200V,
for 1 minute between the three circuited phase and the earth. This test is considered to have passed is no
puncture or flashover.
Acceptable
The test is considered to have been passed if there is no puncture or flash - over.
- ensuring that all circuit is connected together (by closing breaker and interconnecting panels if busbars
are only being fitted on site)
