Anyone who has ever bought powder knows it costs much more than tree.
Now lets say a Kilo (2.2 lbs) of raw uncut work is 30 racks. A pound of
grade A+++ rapper weed is 3 racks. That would make Texas’ currency much
stronger. It will take 1 Texas kilo of fish scale to equal 10 pounds of Cali’s
finest and freshest. That’s a 10/1 difference in value. Next week it may
exchange at 12 pounds of weed for 1 kilo depending on current market
value.
In forex it’s the same. We have what we call currency pairs. USD/JPY is is a
currency pair I trade. The first 2 letters of a pair is the country and the last
letter is denomination of currency, so USD is United States Dollar and JPY
stands for the Japanese Yen. As of right now it takes 111 Yen to equal 1 US
Dollar.
Let’s push some VOLUME
A young hustler knows when and how to get it. You’re more than likely to
get a customer on the block at 3 am than at noon. More volume means more
customers. It can also be more dangerous, so use caution.
These streets are dangerous, and so is Wall St. Just like we had to dodge
haters and cops, we have to dodge the institutions moving the prices
erratically. Basically, the institutions are the OPPS.
In forex we call this risk management. That’s your SL, or stop/loss. Any
business man knows that protecting your gains while minimizing your losses
is the name of any game. That’s why starting with a smaller distribution or
trading account is the best way to learn, practice and find your trading style
and rhythm.
UPS and DOWNS of the GAME
In the hood, the bigger you become stacking your chips, the more stress and
exposure you have to getting robbed or worse. It’s hard to constantly keep
looking over your shoulder for the feds or someone plotting your next move.
There will always be someone to take your place. It can make a man
paranoid, and when you’re not right in the head, you can make big mistakes.
The same rules apply to trading.
As my good friend “Harvard” Hollis Barnhart told me, “The hardest part of
the journey is the first step.”

SIDE NOTE: If you do trade outside of your plan limit your expectations

FINAL THOUGHTS
There’s a saying that goes, “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re
right”.
Trading forex isn’t going to be for everyone, but for the people I see in my
chat and on the Gram that are improving daily, we all share a lot of the same
traits. We are problem solvers and we are perfectionists, but there isn’t a
perfected science to trading. You will go through breakthroughs and also
setbacks, but you’ll progress. There are many factors that go into one trade,
so there is a lot to learn. Everyone’s path will be different, but the goal will
remain the same.
Everyone learns differently, so what worked for me may not work for you.
Most of you guys reading this are half my age, so you might be able to run a
faster mile, but nothing compares to life experience. Some of you I see are
exceptional traders, but I see impatience and no discipline. That novelty will
wear off when you get tired of losing.
One of the things that helped me was that I learned one thing at a time. After
perusing babypips.com and combing through a few books, I started moving
into the more difficult and technical areas of forex. First, I got really good at
spotting and locating SUPPORT and RESISTANCE, then I stared at charts
and candlestick patterns in different timeframes and dates. You have to be
able to train your eyes. The same things happen over and over. The biggest
thing is patience. THE BIGGEST THING IS PATIENCE!
Everyone will have their own “AHA” moment and learning curve, so don’t
compare yourself to others on social media. Do you. Embrace the struggle
and the process.
I would like to thank my trading crew and confidants, the XAUnit. We’ve all
come a long way. I love you guys.
I want to thank Uncle Ted and the Forex Family. Without this community
you have built, none of this would be possible. I will support you in any way
I can. You’ve created a trading community unlike any other and for that I am
thankful. I’m excited for www.tradersdomain.com and all the future has to
hold for you and many others involved.
I want to say thank you to all my people in our chat group. The name
changes daily, but the support and morale never waivers. You guys are an
original bunch and the learning and laughs I’ve had with all of you have
been a definite highlight to all of this.
Last, I want to thank all my people in Vallejo and the Bay Area. Times got
hard, but we remained solid.
