TOPIC-2 WOMEN RECONCILIATION CENTRE

AIM

- To design an architectural space dedicated to empower needy women's with

or without social/personal problems through education and training for their

Need:
Women have been relegated to the margins in spite of the fact that they are
numerically half of the world’s population. Equality is something that humans
naturally tend to crave. Wherever whoever is a weaker section of society needs
empowerment. The need for women’s empowerment is felt because of the status
they have in society which we need to redefine. Women do have the ability to excel
in almost all fields and all they need is their right to participate and be given a chance
through proper education and economic self-reliance.

Scope:
The positional of women and their status in any society are an index of its
civilization. Women are to be considered as equal partners in the process of
development. But, because of centuries of exploitation and subjugation, Indian
women have remained still at the receiving end. Women in India have been
neglected a lot. They have not been activity involved in the mainstream of
development even though they represent equal proportion of the population and
labour force. Primarily women are the means of survival of their families, but are
generally unrecognized and undervalued, being placed at the lower rung of the
ladder.

“Stronger women, stronger families and stronger communities”

 Terminuses are needed where number of services terminates and where

there is a exchange of passengers and goods from one service to
another.
ENERGY EFFICIENT

 The idea of energy efficient design is to modulate the conditions such

that they are always within or as close as possible to comfort zone, in
relation to the landscape, built form, envelope, materials, and other
control measures.

AIM

 The aim of this project is to present the different opportunities and

measures for reducing energy use in the building (bus terminus)

SCOPE

 To provide a safe and environment-friendly space for the people.

 To provide user friendly design by using sign boards at the right

locations for the convenience of the passengers.

 Separate paths for pedestrian and vehicle's which will help in reducing
accidents.

 Pedestrian friendly environment.

OBJECTIVES

 The pedestrian path can be maximized in a bus terminus considering

the safety of the people.
