    1) The job PL.MOVE.TO.AL that backs out P&L and posts to assets and liabilities was not run on the first working day of the new financial year. 2) To correct this, a routine called PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER needs to be FTP'd to the BP directory, compiled, used to create a program file and batch record, and then run in a batch to clear the P&L. 3) After running EOD, the batch record and program file for PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER need to be reversed to complete the correction.

    Description:

    The job PL.MOVE.TO.AL under the batch PL.MOVE.TO.AL must be activated on the
    first working day of the new financial year. This job backs out all P&L and posts to
    asset & liabilities and also it clears all P&L from the CRF.

    Since the job was not run, on the first working day of the new financial year, we
    need to follow the procedure given below.

    Solution:

    1) FTP the routine PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER to BP directory.


    2) Compile the routine PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER.
    > EB.COMPILE BP PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER

    3) Create a PGM.FILE for PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER


    4) Create a BATCH record PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER. (If it is a multi company
    environment, then it has to create for each individual companies)
    5) Run an EOD.
    6) REVERSE the BATCH record, PGM.FILE of PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER.

    Note:

    1) After running EOD, REVERSE the BATCH record of


    XXX/PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER.
    2) REVERSE the PGM.FILE record of PL.CLOSE.OUT.AFTER.

    results thoroughly, after confirming the results, implement the procedure
    in the LIVE environment.
