Ullswater ‘Steamers’ is an award-winning, environmentally accredited
attraction in UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lake District National
Park. We have been operating cruises for 160 years on England’s most
beautiful lake, Ullswater, with one of the largest heritage vessel fleets in
the World. Our visitors experience breathtaking mountainous
landscapes whilst taking in the tranquillity of the valley onboard our

This year we celebrate the 130th birthday of our boat, M.Y. Raven.
Still cruising up and down our eight mile long lake, M.Y. Raven is just
one of five heritage vessels that we operate 363 days of the year.
Ullswater has inspired many famous poets, artists and walkers including
William Wordsworth, John Ruskin and Alfred Wainwright. To this day
the daffodils that inspired Wordsworth’s famous poem of the same
name can be spotted in Spring on the shores of Glencoyne Bay.
Walk in the footsteps of these famous people as you explore the
Ullswater Way; a 20 mile footpath connecting all four of our piers,
giving you the option to hop on and off our cruises.
PRIVATE CHARTERS
Are you looking to celebrate a wedding, birthday, anniversary or other
special occasion? If so, we have the perfect solution. Four of our
heritage vessels are available for private charter throughout the year.
