How To Get Uncle Sam To Fund Your Start-Up
“Tip No.1: Tell Them Why You’re Worth It
If you want to bag Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding, you’d better be able
to communicate precisely how the research is going to lead to a commercially viable product.
“Most entrepreneurs we work with find it’s a challenge to discuss how their technology is com-
mercialized,” says John Mill, director of the SBIR assistance program in Georgia. There are two
phases to the pitching process. Phase 1 grants, generally worth up to $100,000 apiece, are meant
to support early-stage market research. Phase 2 grants involve spelling out in far greater detail the
market opportunity and the nuts and bolts of the technology. It’s more legwork, but the payoff is
sweet: up to $750,000 per grant. Small Business Technology Transfer (SBTT) grants work the
same way.
Prepare your loved one for changes Share your plans a few days in
advance and communicate your reasons for making adjustments.
Address concerns Clear the air before the diet starts. Be clear about
your expectations too -- if you don’t expect your partner to make
changes, let him/her know this. Try to circumvent negative feelings
ahead of time.

Ms.Vogue ANA 2008
The ANA (association of Napoli’s in North America) Fashion
Extravaganza 2008 gracefully stole the sighs of more than 1200
audience members on July 5, 2008 in Marriott Hotel, Baltimore.
With “A Week in a Nepali’s Life” as the theme, the show ad-
venturously blended fashion and emotion. Five sequences dis-
playing five emotions - “love,” “work,” “tension,” “joy,” and
“culture” - and accordingly five wears - dressy, formal, informal,
glamorous and cultural – kept the eyes of the audience riveted
onto the stage. The models were role-casted to exude these five
emotions, while bedazzling the audience with their catwalks and
stunning looks. The show was about how the Nepali youth live
their lives in the North Americas, how they sail through their
emotions throughout a week, and how they dress to match their
moods and modalities. A posh parade of Nepalipan!
The Model Hunt Winners were Prashant Rajbhan-
dari, Anup Pandey, Nishan Basnet, Sagar Onta, Sushan Manand-
har and Jimmy Lamsal in the male category and Raksha Sharma,
Bimina Ranjit, Sabina Malla, Smriti Basnyat, Raksha Sharma

alma mater Brahm Prakash DAV, Kanchanbagh.
Karunya had released an album called ‘Chiru Sarigamalu’ in his childhood
which was launched by South-Indian actor, Megastar Chiranjeevi. He later went on
to win the most acclaimed, ‘Paadutha Theeyaga’ hosted by Dr.SP Balasubrahmanyam

Indian idol 2:
Once he auditioned for Indian idol 2, there was no looking back for Karunya. He im-
mediately became the darling of the masses with his innocent charm and confidence
while the class loved him for his speckles renditions. He was an instant hit with all the
north Indians because of his unbelievable performance of the Punjabi and Rajasthani
songs .The judges, celebrities and all the other musicians all over India rooted and
prayed for him to win the competition. Especially, Karunya is the sole South Indian
contestant in any reality show to have garnered as much interest as he did. Suddenly,
whole of A.P sat up and took notice of the talents and started rooting for him. In the
end though Karunya did not win the title he was declared the unofficial winner of the
contest by one and all through blogs and the newspapers.

You could safely say this is The Godfather II of comic-
book movies because at its dark heart it really plays like a
crime movie, more L.A. Confidential than Iron Man. Join-
ing a triumvirate to eviscerate crime in Gotham City, Bat-
man (Christian Bale) teams with Lieutenant Jim Gordon
(Gary Oldman) and crusading D.A. Harvey Dent (Aaron
Eckhart) to triumph over evil. But as a true anarchist, The
Joker (Heath Ledger) is unleashed by the mob and de-
termined to cause holy bat terror for no apparent reason
other than his own enjoyment. Right from the beginning,
Batman and his colleagues realize they are not dealing
with any rational criminal and must use all their ingenuity
to combat him. The film explores the extreme damage one
determined person can have on an entire society, an apt

Synopsis / Plot After barbarically slaughtering his parents, sixteen year-old Ryo is sent to a
prison for boys. Continually tortured by his fellow inmates, Ryo takes up karate training after a
savage beating leaves him for dead. Returned to society after three years, Ryo catches the atten-
tion of the local triads for his natural ferocity and dedication to destruction. Convinced to enter
underground, no-rules fighting tournaments, Ryo easily demolishes the competition. Seemingly
unstoppable, Ryo’s inevitable confrontation with champion Sugawara may be his only chance
for respect from the society that has so completely rejected him.
