PHILIPPINES: TOP TOURIST DESTINATION

Tourism is eyeing to attract 10 million international tourists


and 56 million local travelers. With more than 7,100 beautiful
islands, the Philippines are not shy to offer a lot more fun for
foreign and local wanderers.

EL NIDO PALAWAN— The Last Frontier

El Nido is a Philippine municipality on Palawan Island. It’s known for


white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit
archipelago, a group of islands with steep karst cliffs. Miniloc Island is
famed for the clear waters of its Small and Big lagoons. Nearby Shimizu
Island have fish-filled waters. The area has many dive sites, including
Dilumacad Island’s long tunnel leading to an underwater cavern.
BORACAY ISLAND

BATANES ISLAND

Batanes A trip to the province will give you the most unique sceneries

lovers, livestock freely roaming above endless green hills, massive cliffs
overlooking oceans under the blue skies, rocky shores and white sand
beaches, and the rich cultural heritage of the Ivatans.

CAMIGUIN ISLAND

HINATUAN ENCHANTED RIVER


The clear bluish waters of Hinatuan’s Enchanted River can go as
deep as 80 feet deep. A popular story among the locals tells that fairies and
mermaids swim and play in the waters, protect the river, and maintain its

BANAUE RICE TERRACES

System of irrigated rice terraces in the mountains of North-Central


Luzon Philippines that were created more than 2000 years ago by the
Ifugao people. It is located in several village collectively known as Banaue
Rice Terraces. The rice terraces are situated in Cordilleras of Luzon Island.
According to reports the terraces which resemble steps, carved into the
mountain side cover some 4000 square miles (10,360 square km) and their
total length is estimated at approximately 12,500 iles (20,100 km) roughly
half of the Earths circumference. While the rice terreces where important to
the ifugao economy, they also served a cultural function, requiring intensive
cooperation among the people. The terraces occasionally called the 8th
wanders of the world.
SIQUIJOR ISLAND

Is a beautiful, small, somewhat off-the beaten-path island in the

Vigan — Old World City

Vigan is a city in the Philippines, on the west coast of Luzon island.


It's known for its preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture. Calle
Crisologo dominates the Mestizo district, with its cobblestone streets,
malecón, horse-drawn carriages and rustic mansions. Near the white
baroque Vigan Cathedral are Plaza Salcedo, offering fountain light shows,
and Plaza Burgos, known for its street-food stalls.
CHOCOLATE HILLS

Chocolate Hills is a series of 1,268 perfectly symmetrical, haycock-


shaped hills that rise some 30 meters above the ground. A National
Geologic Monument, these unique, rock formations were cast after million
years of evolution.Spread out in the towns of Carmen, Batuan and
Sagbayan, the hills are so-called because they resemble chocolate
bonbons when their grass cover turns to brown at the onset of summer.
Two of the hills have been developed and provided with facilities, including
a viewdeck.
LUNETA PARK

Rizal Park, also known as Luneta Park or simply Luneta, is a


historical urban park in the Philippines. It was formerly known as
Bagumbayan in the era of colonialism under the Spaniards.
