NOTE All tools, test equipment and aids, with the exception of the “stan-
dard installation tool kit”, are listed and specified in the Service
Tools Catalogue.
Safety Measures 1
• To switch power off to all parts of the system (generator and connected units), set the
main system switch to the OFF position.
• The generator can be switched off with D160 S2.
- Switching it on from the generator console is not possible.
• Remove or install components only with the generator switched off; when doing this,
observe ESD guidelines.
The service software must always be installed from the diskettes or CD ROM that are cur-
rently with the system, and observe the compatibility list for this.
In the service program, you can call up a help program with the F1 key for each window
(mode).
NOTE Upon completion of the work with the Service PC, make a
“backup” and switch off the system.
After changing the adjustments and reactivating the system, per-
form a function test (i.e. equipment movements, room limita-
tions).
Read out the error code memory and save to disk prior to servicing the system.

During installation, the body unit was aligned using a spirit level, see Fig. 4. By doing this,
the movement forces for spotfilm device transverse movement have been averaged out
over the entire tilting range.
• Bring the table into the 0° position.
- The spotfilm device must not move independently in the transverse direction;
otherwise the unit must be aligned anew. A possibility of raising the unit is using the
existing thread (1/Fig. 4) M12 for screwing in suitable M12 screws. The unit can be
raised with these and shimmed with the supplied washers (0.5 mm; 1 mm; 2 mm from
accessories bag) at the mounting points (2/Fig. 4).
• It must be possible to move the spotfilm device in all table positions over the entire
working range; pay attention to the tension of the cable loops in this case.
When the unit is positioned at 90°, the movement forces for spotfilm device transverse
movement can be averaged out at the bearings (1/Fig. 5); take care that the spotfilm
device does not move out transversely on its own.

For the Acceptance Test per §16 RÖV in the Federal Republic of Germany only:
If it is determined that the factory adjustments have not changed, the values in the test
protocol and the films prepared at the factory can be used for the Acceptance Test
Certificate.
Procedure:
• Set the button to ON
• Select full film format and I.I. full format .
• Switch fluoro ON
• Open the collimator all the way with the Koordinat switch (I.I. format).
• Change the SID.
➪ The collimator adjusts itself.
It is possible to choose between "slow, normal and high" in the menu. Thus it is possible
to adapt to the method of working of the physician.
• Select the following routine in the service program:
- Adjustment
- Calibrations
- Collimator
- Adjustment of collimator speed
A detailed help program can be selected by pressing the F1 key.

Fig. 7
NOTE The values set at the factory for the automatic collimation (PBL)
are documented in the test protocol.
Take a test exposure to ensure that this adjustment has not
changed as a result of shipping and installation.
Enter these values in the SIRESKOP CX Test Protocol, Paragraph
”Accuracy of the Automatic Collimation for Cassette
Formats”.
It is recommended to use a film envelope because the values
determined and recorded at the factory were also made using a
film envelope.
Evaluation:
• Measure the length and width of the radiation field on the film.
• The measured values in the measurement plane must be converted to the film plane
using the conversion factors.
- a = distance between the measurement plane and film plane
- M = SID/(SID - a) magnification factor between the measurement plane and film plane.
- With film envelope: a = 4.8 cm, M max SID= 1.051, M min SID = 1.076
- With cassette: a = 5.0 cm, M max SID= 1.053, M min SID= 1.080
The following applies: SIDin film plane = FFA in measurement plane x M
• Compare the cassette size and the values determined with the values determined at the
factory and enter this in the Test Certificate under "Accuracy of the Automatic Formatting
for Cassette Formats Tested During Startup”.
The maximum overframing of the nominal film format in the film plane may be
10 mm for both the length and width.
For the Acceptance Test per §16 RÖV in the Federal Republic of Germany only:
If it is determined that the factory adjustments have not changed, the values in the Test
Certificate and the 2 films prepared at the factory can be used for the Acceptance Test
Certificate.
Fig. 8
NOTE The cassette and the cassette transport belts must be clean.
NOTE During adjustment the width of the fluoroscopic field on the mon-
itor remains the same (default value).
Adjustments mutually affect the gap width "a" of 4:1 and 3:1 sub-
divisions.
Function check:
Expose a subdivided cassette size 18x24 cm and 24x30 cm (4:1)
(with the 33 cm I. I., 30x24 cm, 2-part) and 35x35 cm (3:1) and
check for an averaged gap width ("a"/Fig. 8).

Fig. 9
The centering of the TV camera and the fluoroscopy field limitation has been adjusted at
the factory and is documented in the SIRESKOP CX Test Certificate under Paragraph "Flu-
oroscopy Field Limitation”.
It must be assured that the adjustment has not changed as a result of shipping and
installation.
Procedure:
• Move the unit into approx. the 25° position and set the maximum SID.
• Select full I.I. format.
• Switch fluoro ON, open the collimator blades all the way (I.I. format).
• Slowly compress and decompress the spotfilm device several times. When this is done,
the collimator plates must adjust accordingly and should be just barely visible centered
at the edge of the monitor screen (blanking circle) (see Fig. 9).
• Also check this collimation for Zoom formats.
• If at least 2 (height and width) of the 4 collimator plates are visible on the monitor in all I.I.
formats and SIDs, record this in the SIRESKOP CX Test Certificate, Paragraph,
”Fluoroscopy Field Limitation (*1)”.
NOTE If the collimator plates are visible on the monitor in all formats
and for all SIDs, the check can be skipped in the next paragraph
“Fluoroscopy Field Limitation (with Overframing)”.

Procedure:
• Move the unit approx. into the +25° position.
• Attach the centering cross to the back of the spotfilm device with the X-axis horizontal.
• Switch fluoroscopy ON, collimate a radiation field of approx. 4 x 4 cm and adjust the
centering cross so that it is exactly centered to the radiation field.
• Open the multileaf collimator to maximum and for the width (X direction) and length
(Y direction) read the centimeter divisions X1, X2, Y1 and Y2 indicated by the arrows
(Fig. 10) from the centering cross on the monitor and record the values in the
Acceptance Test Certificate.
Carry this out for all I.I. formats and at the max. and min. SID at which the collimator
plates can no longer be seen on the monitor with the collimator opened all the way.
• Remove the centering cross.
• Attach a 35x35 cm cassette or film envelope with film in the plane of the centering cross
and then mark the sides.
Evaluation:
• Measure the size of the radiation field for the X direction and the Y direction and enter the
total in the Acceptance Test Certificate in the Paragraph "Radiation Field Size".
• Determine the difference between ∆ X and ∆ Y.
∆ X = (X1+ X2 ) - X
∆ Y = (Y1 + Y2 ) - Y
For the Acceptance Test per §16 RÖV in the Federal Republic of Germany only:
The values entered in the test certificate must be used for the Acceptance Test Certifi-
cate.
• Under fluoroscopy, check display of the correct side for normal image position and
image reversal.
Possible correction:
• In FL-C Image Chain Default Values (Online Help, Chapter "Service Mode/
Configuration/Image Chain Default Values) perform H-reverse and V-reverse.
