The drainage systems consist of storm water drainage located in the area of Project. Perimeter drain
will be collected by open ditch and planned to be tied into existing ditch outside the boundary of project.
Drainage system shall be considered water flow from the existing river near the project. Design,
dimension and bottom depth of channel will be designed in accordance with existing ditch.

5 BASIC CONCEPT
5.1 Design Flow Rate
The method used in the design of storm water sewer systems is commonly referred to as the Rational
Method. The Rational Formula shall be used to determine the design flow as follows:

Storm water flow rate is calculated by Rational Formula :

Q = the peak flowrate at the particular point in the sewer under consideration
C = the runoff coefficient for the catchment area. This coefficient is the ratio of the amount of
runoff flowing from the catchment to the total amount of rainfall that falls on the catchment
area, dimensionless.
i = the design rainfall intensity for the calculated time of concentration (TOC), (mm/hour)
A = the size of the catchment area contributing runoff to the sewer, (m 2)

tc = Storm duration (minutes)
R24 = Maximum rainfall precipitation within 24 hours for specific year return period (mm)
Storm duration "t" shall be taken as TOC but not less than 10 minutes in developed areas and 20
minutes in undeveloped areas.
The Gumbel Statistic analysis is uses to calculate the maximum rainfall for the 25 years return
period. The source data for the analysis was taken from BPS of Kabupaten Bogor (Central Bureau
of Statistics).The rainfall analysis and source data from BPS are attached in appendix E.

6 CATCHMENT AREA
Catchment area of drainage facility has been identified and measured by using Auto CAD to assess
plan view catchment area as horizontal projection. Detail of catchment area can be seen in appendix B.
Storm water in power block area is collected by open ditch. End point of dicth will be connected to an
exsiting ditch. Existing ditch will flow the storm water into discharge channel. Bottom Elevation of end
point shall be higher than existing dicth
