eni CLADIUM 50 is extremely stable, particularly resistant to thermal cracking and oxidation,
and has high detergent properties. These effectively prevent the formation of carbon, lacquer
and deposits in the hottest parts of the pistons of crosshead engines and in the crankase, thus
preserving the cooling efficiency of the circuit.
Its antiacid and antirust properties efficiently combat the corrosive effects of moisture and
salinity.
Its antiwear properties ensure long life of engine parts, thus reducing servicing and overhaul
requirements.
Its antifoam properties minimize the formation of air bubbles which could adversely affect
lubricant film continuity.
Its demulsibility properties permit the separation by centrifuging of any water accidentally
entering the engine.
